The Bears potential to move to Indiana?

Completely idiotic comparison.

Hammond is literally 24 miles from Soldier Field.

Pretty much the same distance as Cowboys Stadium to the Cotton Bowl in Dallas.
Yea, Metlife Stadium is 32 miles from NYC and in a different state too. I see no problem with this move.

A lot of teams use the name of the major city closest to them but don't actually play inside those city limits. Dallas doesn't play in Dallas. LA doesn't play in LA. Teams moving to the suburbs will continue to happen until city voters learn the difference between a tax break on money it hasn't earned yet and cash on hand. I'm not optimistic.

I hope they do leave. Chicago is being run into the ground by idiots. What a dumpster fire of a city it has become.

I have always said the Giants should build their own stadium north of the city, somewhere near White Plains or Scarsdale. And the Jets should be the the NJ Jets.

It’s not so much distance Hammond to Soldier Field it’s when you cross state lines things like names should change . Obviously NJ was desperate enough to take the Jets / Giants and not insist the name New Jersey go with it .

If Chicago couldn’t get it done with the Bears the governor of Indiana should have insisted to the Bears we will help you get a nice new stadium but the name Indiana comes with the team and Bears is out . New name new color scheme new uniforms . Sell the entire state as a package .

I looked it up the hockey Islanders technically are still in Nassau county across the street from NYC , Queens. They built on the grounds of Belmont Park . At least Nassau County didn’t lose the team.

Lol.

The Bears’ name and colors are a historical brand that is a money maker.

Why would Indiana insist that they get rid of a known commodity? That would have made the move virtually a “no go” on the Bears’ part.

You don’t know if you don’t ask . The Bears in the modern day NFL have what one SB win . It’s hardly a brand “ juggernaut “ say like GB Dallas Pitt . Along with the move the world would have survived to see the Bears relegated to the history books .
