Agree if you drop Romo from the equation. I just don't see him being anything more than a career backup. Just my 2 cents.

You know i like Bledsoe. All digns pointed to him tutoring Brady and being behind him 100% in NE. Bledsoe is a team player who repects his coach and his teammates.

I really wish that some fans here would take notes on that.

Bledsoe and Henson and Romo and Parcells can all coexist and prosper on the same squad.

This is not a zero sum situation: one doing well does not mean that another is doing poorly.

Its disgusting how coaching envy and people thinkking that you can only support one Cowboys QB polarizes us fans. Im not buying it.

I like Bledsoe, Henson, Romo and Parcells and I believe that each and every one of them can be very successful.

The only issue I have in the bolded statement was in the 1st Philly and 2nd Washington games last year. Both games were good opportunities for a Romo appearence.

When BP was asked why he didn't put in Romo, his answer was that he asked Bledsoe if he should put Romo in. Bledsoe said No !

I have 2 issues with this...1 why is BP even asking Bledsoe and not making the decision himself...2 If Bledsoe is such a "Team Player" then why did he say no to Romo getting some mop up time ?

Jarv, you may disagree, but I really don't want my starting QB saying he thinks the coach should put the back-up in.

My guess is that's nt how the question was asked, either. I've never heard a coach say "You want me to replace you with so-and-so?" More likely, he asked Bledsoe if he wanted out. In that situation, no real teammate and leader would say yes. He stuck it out with his teammates, and that's kind of admirable.

Should he have been asked? Maybe not. But I don't think his answer is any reflection on the kind of a team player Bledsoe is.

Henson will get his chance to shine, he says all the right things and he is a hard worker.

Fair enough, I agree that is probably how it went down....at least in the Skins games...because we were down and I would respect him (Bledsoe) to want to fight to end the end and try and win the game, even if it was un-winable at the end. That does show leadership.

But I would tend to disagree in the 1st Philly game. Cruising through the 4th quarter with a comfy lead. I would expect the coach to just put in a backup QB...Who has publicly said he likes...to get some hands on duty. I would not even expect the coach to ask Bledsoe if he wants out....And if Bledsoe were such a great teamate (ie...thinking of the team) he would also have wanted to let his backup to gain some minimal experience in a really no harm situation.

Lol...I can ALMOST guaruntee that BP did not ask Henson in the Chicago Thankgiving game if he wanted out.

That's all on Parcells, though. It's not Bledsoe's job to make the calls on who gets in the game, and when. As a competitive QB, he's gonna stay out there and try to make plays regardless of the situation. Again, I don't think him being in there is any reflection on Bledsoe as a team player, more a reflection on what Parcells thinks of putting players in during garbage time to hand the ball off.

I happen to share the view that it accomplishes almost nothing, so I have no problem with it. The only reason I see for even thinking about it, is so you don't risk injury to your starter. I've never seen Parcells sit any starter because a game had been decided one way or another, though. That doesn't seem to be how he "rolls".

No doubt. But if he had, what do you think Henson would have said? "Yeah, coach, I think Vinny gives us a better chance to win - put him in." Fat chance. Noone wants to be sat down, and they never should. I don't expect Bledsoe to make coaching decisions. I'm sure he gives all the advice and direction he can to the young fellas. That's all you can really ask of him.
