Like Parcells said, "Ask me after a couple of games." It's way too early yet. With or without an O-line, Tyler Thompson showed me plenty, as did Crowder and Thomas Johnson. It was nice to see kickoffs make it into the endzone. I thought both QBs looked real good considering what they had to work with, but I want to see a few more games before I draw any conclusions.

I thought Romo looked the best of the three. Henson had a couple of nice throws, but had some throws that were just plain awful as well. Bledsoe looked lousy.

In all three QB's defense, the offensive line was terrible the entire game.

Henson lacks confidence throwing the ball over the middle......making his throws eratic.

Bledsoe must have man love for the football........He doesn't want to let go of it........sets there in the pocket and pats it on the butt.
:lmao: We really need Henson or Romo to step up, I predict Bledsoe will be killed by the 3rd game, and we'll need one of these young guys to step up. I think it can be Henson.

Yeah Henson throws the outs really well, but I would like to see how he does throwing the ball in the middle of the field where you have much less margin for error. I would like to see how Henson does throwing some deeper crossing routes or post patterns to get a better read on him.

From afar, I have always thought Bledsoe was a frustrating QB to watch. He is kind of beating when he pats that ball in the pocket and seems indecisive. Obviously he needs better protection, but he has to get into a rhythym where he lets go of the ball much quicker.

Yes we do need one or both of the young QBs to stepup. If Bledsoe continues to hold the ball as he did tonight.....he will get killed.

Both Henson and Romo were much faster in making reads and throws then Bledsoe.

If this keeps up then Romo or Henson could be the starter sometime later in the season.

Right CBz, Bledsoe won't finish the '05 season.

BP would dress up in a Lingerie' before allowing his man Bledsoe to sit on the bench.

Very pleased with Romo and Henson...I rate them even.

Romo moved the team well. He throws a really nice deep ball.

Henson does throw to the middle. He threw the slant into coverage very well. Great arm.

The only erratic throws Henson made were throw aways.

My major complaint about Henson is the deep ball. I have never seen him complete a deep pass. I wanted to see him take a shot at the endzone on the last drive......

Anyway, I think we need to be patient with both.

Totally agree. Good post.

Henson or Romo didn't show me enough tonight to give them the starting job but both have talent and worth developing. I think there's hope.

When did Romo go deep? All I saw was short stuff.

I think the only deep one he threw was to Crayton that Rolle knocked away at the back of the endzone.

The pass to Crayton in the endzone. It was placed beautifully, good play by Rolle to break it up.

Romo threw it late.......but it was a nice throw....one second earlier and it's a TD.

Romo also had a great deep pass two seasons ago in PS against the Texans

I just think he throws a nice deep ball.

I'd love to see Henson complete a deep pass. He throws the short to intermediate passes well, but I have yet to see him complete anything deep.

Oh, I did miss one play. I remember coming back and the Cards announcers were gushing over Rolle. That must have been it.

I'll check out the Tivo'ed game again tomorrow. Maybe the OL won't be so ugly in the daylight.

Yeah...lack of Bledsoe's pocket awareness, lacks the proverbial clock in his head to get rid of the ball, and his seeming lack of field vision is making me crave one of our 2 youngin's

I disagree.

Henson had one bad throw, the post to Smith that could have been a TD.

He threw the ball away a couple of times and those had a little flutter.

The over throw in the end zone was the receiver running the wrong route, he stopped dead at the ten yard line and Henson threw a post corner.

Romo made the correct reads but, like it or not, he does not have a strong arm. He had two passes that the receiver was open and he did not have the arm to get it there, and one was nearly an INT.

I have mixed reviews of both Romo and Henson, but they bested Bledsoe by far; granted they didn't play against the first stringers.

Romo showed very nice touch on a loft to Witten even with pressure coming from his right side. He also showed nice touch on a pass to Crayton in the endzone, however it was thrown a second too late. I think he also had Crayton adjust his route when the safety began creeping up and then hit him in the hands on a slant. Had Crayton not bobbled it, he may have broken off a nice run. Romo had a nice bootl and completed a nice short pass, but it almost looked like he watched the receiver run his entire route without looking to see if anyone else was open.

Henson moved around in the pocket very well, stepping up on his first pass. He also got rid of the ball rather than taking a sack on a naked bootleg right into the defender. They called it intentional grounding, but he was almost outside the tackles and hit the ground in front of the FBs feet. He had a pass into the corner of the endzone that I thought looked lousy until I rewatched the tape. It was a throwaway because he had a defesive lineman put his hands up and Henson threw it a little higher to avoid a tip ball and avoided a sack.

Romo and Henson avoided holding onto the ball and racking up negative plays, which put the a step ahead of Bledsoe at this point.

Also noteworthy, Pierce does not always run full speed and therefore doesn't get open like he should. On one play that was thrown to Crayton, Pierce had a seam that if he had been running faster would have either cleared it out more for the receiver or gotten open behind the safeties into the endzone.

The play that looked like a bad pass/throw away was the receiver's fault. We were sitting at the 25 yardline and the WR stopped dead at the ten yardline and Henson threw a post corner.
