Just stop it guys.
It isn't going to happen.

I have serious doubts about Henson and I have never thought he should (or would) be the starter, but you have to give him one more year. He is a several year project -- we should have known that.

I think Romo should and will be #2 but if he doesn't play pretty good the next two games and show he can be the backup (and not make dumb throws), Bill will release him and get someone else. That is the only scenario where a QB will get released -- and it would be Romo.

I think BP/JJ want to make sure that "gunslinger" attitude is no longer there with Romo.

All Romo really needs to do, IMO, is take care of the football the next two games, and if the play is there, take it. Otherwise, just throw it away.

Ya know...call me crazy, but Romo does seem to have something about him. It might just be confidence, but when he entered the game on Monday, the offense seemed to have a sense of purpose.

I agree, sometimes a QB has to learn the best play is to throw it away and come back on the next play.

Exactly, Dooms.

And to be honest, given Romo's college background, plus the time he's already spent in the NFL, I think BP/JJ are now expecting Romo to be able to do this.

I think the WORST thing Romo can do on Saturday is to throw up a pass or two for graps. Whether the pass in completed on intercepted is not important. BP wants to see Romo protect the football and just manage the game. And I think at this stage of Romo's career, BP's pretty much demanding it.

I agree 100% with you.

Romo is the only QB on this team that has a shot of moving the offense. Why would you release him for an over-the-hill QB and one that would struggle to make junior varsity on a high school squad?

No one is saying BP is going to release Romo.

The point being made is that BP is looking for his number 2 QB not to make "dumb" mistakes. Given Romo's extensive college resume, plus his years in the NFL, I think BP expects Romo not to take a "gunslinger" approach. He's mentioned it several times this TC.

That doesn't mean Henson is better. But just that because Romo has played more college ball (a lot more) than Henson, plus his years in the NFL, I think BP expects a bit more at this stage.

I think Romo makes the team but no he is no where close to Bledsoe as far as ability to run this offense.

You're not crazy. But people will viciously try to make you seem that way if you do or say anything that threatens Henskunk.

You Villain.

Are you kidding me? Sense of purpose? That was Romo's worst performance since his rookie year.

DBs breaking on almost every ball. In the face of pressure in his face he made two throws down the middle of the field into coverage.

Guarantee you Bill wasn't really pleased with any of his QBs Monday night.

It depends on what you mean by "running this offense". I think Bledsoe will do a far better job of running it into the ground than any other QB on the roster.

I really hope you're wrong.

But in any case, I'll reserve judgment until 4-5 games into the season.:

Wasnt John Elway much further"over the hill " and still got some skins on the wall.Louisiana has some mighty fine football programs but dude that's over the top.I don't wanna here about John and Drew is like comparing apples to oranges.Fact:Drew has been to 2 superbowls lost to a better packer team and if you think barring injury he would not lead to a win in another you are wrong.Patriots were the superior team.Trent Dilfer coulda got back in the bus for that one.
