I'm surprisingly in favor of this idea, however I think you really need to secure a top 3 pick to make it a realistic scenario. Ending up with the 8th or so overall pick and trading a massive package to move up just to get his son doesnt help anything but the media frenzy.

The solution has been in plain sight for 20+ years (hire a GM) Jerry is incapable of building a team that can make a deep playoff run. And there’s nothing I’ve seen in Stephen to indicate he would do anything different.

The foundation of this franchise is severely flawed and goes against organizational excellence (i.e., hire the best GM, hc, scouts, etc and delegate authority). That will never happen as long as the Jones family owns the team.

With that said, I will be a Cowboy fan until I die, regardless of how much Jerry has ruined the franchise. And I’m confident Jerry will continue to dig his heels in even more and run every facet of football operations. The louder the criticism, the more defiant Jerry is. He’s a sick, twisted man.
