Rejoice (today)!
Whatever happens, we are in a very fortunate draft position, high atop the 1st. This is our reward for such a trying season last year. I don't know about you but there were occasions last season that I found myself saying 'Hey, higher draft pick!', in response to rivals ribbing on how poorly our season was going. And go poorly, it did. It was rough. I didn't at the time, however, expect our pick would be as high as #4. With the first 2 teams likely grabbing QBs- something we don't need as badly as much of the rest of the league- we essentially have our pick of the entire pool of NFL prospects for 2016. That's a rare position to be in, especially when you have a pretty decent franchise, as we do (we aren't the Cleveland Browns, afterall. This current team isn't 4th-pick-in-the-draft bad). So I'm looking forward to it... whatever happens... we're getting a top tier talent from a position we haven't been in, for a long time, and may not be in again, for even longer. Enjoy it!

(For the record, I hope it's E. Elliott. I expect it will be J. Ramsey. Whatever. Good times.)

I will rejoice once the draft is over and the bickering can stop. Just sheer sadness then follows by most people because they didn't get the player they wanted.

Then they get to watch the player they wanted wind up a bust for another team. :muttley:

Wish that would have happened to me last year- (David Johnson, Stephon Diggs :( )

How about DeForest Buckner? One of the talking heads described him as a "rag doll" player who would be perfect for the Cowboys.

Always a possibility. That's why I won't sweat it if Dallas doesn't choose Bosa, even though I want him more than our other options at 4.

As long as whomever we draft ends up being better, I'm OK with it. If we blow the No. 4 pick, though, I will be highly disappointed.

Fortunately, we haven't blown a No. 1 pick since Claiborne, and he's even been at least a contributor at times. The last really sucky No. 1 pick for us was probably Bobby Carpenter (although I won't debate anyone who says Mo is it).

I think that was Solomon Wilcots, said he, Buckner rag dolled offensive lineman, and thinks he is the perfect player for Marinelli.

Totally slipped this Zeke thread under the radar. ;)
*j/k joking*
This really is a fun day. There are TONS of teams and fans that have wait around to see what we do, first, before they get to seriously consider their own options. And most don't get to seriously consider the ones that we can! Their consternation is joy to me/for us. I'm petty like that.

He's 6'7", 291, and had 83 tackles, 17 for losses and 10 1/2 sacks last season. Sounds like a guy we could use, but only if he's squeaky clean character-wise. We already have enough 12 game a year DL players.:)

We are trading back into the first for Spence.

Need speaking, I'd rather have a WR than a DB or a DL!

Especially after game four. Which are BTW four (4) of the easiest games on our schedule are week1 Giants here, wk2 @ Skins, wk 3 Chicago @ Home, week 4 @ 49ers.
