Thats not any different than flipping the coin and asking the Spurs to get over 80.

ya, thats why the spurs average 96 points a game, right genius?

So which is it? Games can be boring or not? Guess you dont watch the NBA enough.

i said TO ME its boring when teams just run up and down the court jacking up shots, i never said the spurs were boring, just that i could understand people not liking their style, hence why i said to each their own

Old news pal. Old news. Besides the beloved Spurs on this board lost to em this year as well so I dont understand how they are the "freakin Nuggets".

whats that have to do with the point that your team is struggling right now and the spurs are doing great? your grasping for straws that just aren't there

The Suns average more Einstein so what point do you prove? None!

Someone posts that the Suns suck because they lost to the "freakin Nuggets" is based on the fact that apparently said poster thinks the Nuggets suck. Therefore I made a comment that they cant suck that bad cause they beat the Spurs.

Sounds like both an accurate statement by me as well as a compliment to the Spurs. Gee whiz.

This is getting old so lets put action to where our mouths are. You win the game against the Suns and Ill have a Spurs sig the entire week but if you get spanked and Im pretty sure it will happen, then you have a Suns sig.

looks like your point wasnt whether the suns score more or not, but that the spurs score about 80 points a night, when they actually score 16 points more than that a game. The suns do score more, but they also give up a hell of a lot more. ill take your bet, but instead lets make it the rest of the regular season, and id rather you just refrain from commenting on anything that has to do with the spurs than having a spurs sig, but ill take any sig you want for the rest of the regular season if the suns win

Of course the Spurs dont average 80 points a night and the Suns dont have over 100 scored against them in the 3rd quarter either.

I wont refrain from speaking my mind as long as others here go out of their way to rampantly do so against my team.:) I have said some good things about the Spurs on these forums while every good thing I say, 20 things come back as an insult so why try?:)

Done deal then Kaos.

The sig by either one of us will be the max allowed at 500 wide and 350 tall. I dont see this as being a huge bet though since I wouldnt care if I had to have a Spurs sig through the season and Im sure you wouldnt either with the Suns.

Either way at least its something.;)

DENVER (AP) -- Allen Iverson felt no satisfaction from knocking off the top team in the league, just added pressure.
Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points, Iverson added 28 and the Denver Nuggets spoiled the return of Kevin Garnett, holding on for a 124-118 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night."Winning this game puts a lot of pressure on us, because if you can beat a team like this, then you can beat all the other teams," Iverson said. "We have enough talent to scare some people, but we just have to bring it night in and night out."The Nuggets even beat the Celtics at full strength -- kind of. Garnett, who's been out since Jan. 25 with a strained abdominal muscle, wasn't his flashy self, finishing with four points on 2-of-7 shooting in close to 21 minutes of action. He also had eight rebounds."It was good to get back," said Garnett, who planned to play Wednesday night at Golden State. "It felt good."His coach didn't mince words when asked about his star's performance."Not very good," said Rivers, whose team was 16-0 against the Western Conference before the loss. "But you have to expect that when he sits out that long. He was rusty."Garnett would agree with the assessment. He felt a little winded, but chalked it up to the Mile High City."It feels like I've been out for a couple of years," he said. "There wasn't a lot of air out there."His legs, though, felt rejuvenated. The nine-game break did him wonders."I felt like I was 27," Garnett said. "I felt young."Garnett came in averaging 19.2 points and 9.9 rebounds this season, and anchoring a Celtics defense that's allowing an NBA-low 89.4 points per game. However, the Nuggets dictated the pace of play, scoring the most points against the Celtics this season. The previous high was 114 points scored by Toronto and Cleveland."We didn't want to get into an offensive shootout," Rivers said. "We did that and still had a chance to win."Paul Pierce scored 24 points and Rajon Rondo added 22. Ray Allen, fresh off his 28-point performance at Sunday's All-Star Game, scored 14 of his 20 points in the first quarter. He went 2-for-10 after the opening 12 minutes. But Allen almost helped bring the Celtics back. He cut the lead to 121-118 on a 3-pointer with 13 seconds remaining when Anthony jumped up to grab his shot that was short of the rim. However, Anthony was called for goaltending. And although the Nuggets held on, Nuggets coach George Karl was upset about the call."Wow," Karl said. "He [referee Bennie Adams] likes making big calls and bad calls at the end of the game. How can you call goaltending when the ball is halfway below the rim?"Anthony didn't understand the call, either."I could have stood right under the basket and not even jump and it would have fell right into my hands," Anthony said. The Nuggets can't complain too much about the officiating -- they were sent to the line a season-high 49 times, hitting 34 of them. The Celtics were 19 of 28 from the free throw line."We got a good whistle," Karl said. Now, he's hoping that with this win comes a little more respect."I think the team deserves better acceptance for what it's done," Karl said. Not that Iverson is putting much stock in one game."I don't look at it as we beat the best team in the league, a win is a win," Iverson said. "Obviously, we can compete with anybody. No one seems to know how much talent we have."Game notes
The Suns and Nuggets will play an outdoor game in Indian Wells, Calif., during the 2008-09 preseason. Camby said he may have to work on his jumper to make it more aerodynamic. "I have a high release -- it's probably not too good outdoors," he said. ... Celtics F Brian Scalabrine was out with a strained right groin. ... Denver is 22-6 at the Pepsi Center this season. ... Boston F Leon Powe had 13 points and tied a season high with 11 rebounds. ... The Nuggets had 19,894 fans in attendance, the largest regular season crowd in franchise history.

I would personally rather watch the Denver-Suns game over the Boston-Detroit game...I prefer watching Melo and AI go against Nash and Shaq instead of watching two Eastern confrence teams that I don't like (pistons and celtics).

I like watching the stars of the NBA, that's what the league is about...they know people prefer to watch the high power offensive teams instead of defensive teams and the people that are considered he biggest stars are considered that for a reason. The NFL is more about the entire team (because there is usually a few superstars on each team) and the NBA is more about superstar vs superstar, it works for the NBA so why not?

If the finals roll around with Spurs vs Pistons the rating will stink again, most people don't like watching two teams shut each other down.

I agree but the Suns dont have that pull weight with ratings anymore due to their meltdown this year. This goes back to that "boring doesn't win viewers" talk but Im sure at the end of the season when the "boring" team holds the O'Brien, it is no longer boring any more.:)

Stop, the East is a complete joke and you and everyone know it. You have 2 great teams in Boston, and Detroit, and the rest of the confrence is 100% complete garbage.

I never paid attention before, but do you have a Celtics thread every year, or just when they are good?

I know, the Suns without Marion don't have the same impact as they did, but to me Melo and AI vs Nash and Shaq is better than Detroit vs Boston. I like watching the superstars and good offensive teams over the defensive teams.

Dantoni should be fired. His antics have gotten old.

He ran a zone defense in the Utah game last night and we were winning all three quarters. Then he decided to check his magic eight ball and we switched to a man to man and got destroyed in the fourth.

BTW-Dantoni, heres some advice....using at the most 2-3 from the pine the entire game isnt going to cut it each year.

They wouldn't even make the playoffs in the west. They would be 10th. And that is playing the JV schedule. Play the varisty schedule and they would be even farther down.

East has 2 varsity teams in Boston, and Detroit. That is it. The rest of the confrence is a f-ing disgrace.
