Why? Wade believes in himself even if some fans don't. Wade is not looking for a way out.

You have got to be kidding? Does he look like someone who believes in himself? at PC? on gameday?

Yes, what because he does not have some New York BS talk makes him not believe in himself? Wade has been in this business longer than many of you have been alive he would not have taken the job and remained in the NFL if he did not think he could do it.

Gotta agree with YoMick here Dooms.....like you both by the way, so I'm not taking sides BUT............Wade looks so miserable it's almost laughable if it wasnt' so pathetic. He knows deep down he doesn't have the skill set to right this band of outcasts. AS a matter of fact, there aren't many coaches that do have what it takes which is why we're all so pissed that it's gotten this far. Looks like we are screwed: and then some.

Wade may present himself as "aw shucks" but I think he has shown over time that he does have backbone and a strong belief in himself certainly as a DC, but I think also as a HC.

From what I see, which admittedly isn't everything, he just isn't a good HC no matter what he believes about himself.

Being a great technician doesn't make you a great people person. As you climb the ladder of management it requires less "technician skills" and more "people/management skills".

I just don't see the collective people/management skills in Wade necessary to be an effective HC with the Cowboys. I don't think he sees himself lacking there because I don't think he even sees how that is required in that job.

Its probably exascerbated in a situation where you have Jerry Jones, TO and the Dallas media in the equation.

If Wade is to be successful as HC of the Cowboys it will be because people around him will compensate for his weaknesses without being asked by the HC. Its not impossible, but its a very tall order and I really don't think its likely with TO on board.

So much so that he cowers away from addressing his players at an end-of-the-season meeting. :)

Jerry should ask him to "voluntarily" step down from the HC position in order to focus in on the def. coordinator position....somehow I doubt this will happen though.

Because he does not rant or scream at the media he is not a HC? I have listed to him at the PC and post games and he has an easy going personality, he does not dump on players to the media and he takes the responsibility for the team play. It seems to me you want a show pony as a HC

Wade believes strongly in his ability to call a defense.

He seems hesitant at times to defend himself as a head coach.

Wade is the perfect D Coordinator for this team so im hoping he saves his job next year. I just think he has to many negative factors to have success.

Everyone who didn't want BP now wants BP back. I guess his 9-7 seasons some how look better than this 9-7 season.

I do grant that he didn't have Romo for all of his time but that's also his own fault. He could have went with Romo much sooner into the 06 season, instead of sticking with Drew. He also didn't have to 'get burned out' and quit on the team after half a season with a QB and going in the right direction but he did.

I like Bill. I loved his PC's while he was here. I loved having him here. But he's gone and you move on. It's funny how so many couldn't wait for him to be gone but now they can't wait to have him back.

Coco yes if he is successful it will be in large part because of the people around him on his staff. Every coach out there is the same they are successful because of the people they put on their staff be it BP with Belcheck, or Landry and Dan Reeves and Shottenhimer and Cower the list goes on. Jimmy Johnson did not look like great HC with David Shula running the offense all of a sudden Norv enters the picture and what do you know the Jimmy pro career takes off.

Yep. You gotta like what you do... you gotta like your job. Wade is not liking this and it shows. He likes defense. Put him there.

All I want is whats best for this team. This aint working. To think that magically it will work with the same cast and crew next is foolish.

If it meant to get rid of TO = fine... I want to win.

I think something like that happens. I think that the Crennel story gives Wade a chance to do that and still help us. Its about the team. Not one person.

Sorry that you are making assumptions(that I want a screamer or dictator) and flat out going with a stereotype when all I want is an ACCOUNTABLE HC.

I like you... so I accept your apology in advance. :D

Because even though his offensive and defensive philosiphies were a bit stubborn at times he still TRIED to instill into these guys what still causes them to lose to this very day.

Wade is trying to get a plan in place for something that Bill Parcells has mastered.

Regardless if it worked or not Bill is/was the very best at hammering players on penalties, turnovers, and any other type of boneheaded mistake.

I know. I clearly acknowledged that in my post.

But if there is anyone in the history of football that can change this flaw about a team it is Bill Parcells.

More time with him would only help this cause. Not hurt.

If they're when we had BP and there under wade how is BP suddenly the solution?
