Here we go again with Milton

Id rather keep him. Im not saying I'm sold by any means, but there's enough to make me encouraged and Dak isnt getting any younger or cheaper. Maybe we should keep developing and can plug him in when the time comes?
The problem with that is Dak probably has 2 or 3 years left. Would Milton want to wait around that long.

I'm kind of enjoying the hype and drama, especially if it makes Dak and his fan club nervous. A little competition never hurt anything, especially if it starts making people uncomfortable. #4 has had it too easy, time to turn up the heat
You’ve admitted to nit even liking the Cowboys at this point lol. You might as well be a Eagles fan lol

Milton has been great so far, but he will be over 30 when Dak retires or leaves.
You don’t rebuild with a 30+ year old QB who doesn’t have starting experience.

He is clearly the best backup QB, but our future after Dak is much more likely to be a 22-23 year old we bring in a little down the road. Milton himself, if capable, deserves a better fate than backing up Dak for the next 3-4 years, and the Cowboys are not likely to give him a veteran contract as a backup.

If someone offers a 2nd round pick or a starter at a position of need, I’m taking it and going with Howell as the vet backup.

LOL, here we go at least one Horsemen (Double A) still keeping things interesting.

I like how the podcasts are about positive things with the Cowboys and not about contract hold outs or negative drama. This is refreshing.

Was that a part of the discussion on Sharps podcast or NFLN?
no...immaking the point that no other teams BACKUPQB could generate discussions on multiple shows like the Cowboys. Then add in them talking about an Indian player , pumping himup like he could make the team and he has zero chance of making the team.

I m just asking.... you here anyone talking about the Jets6th string players that will be cut next week? Here anyone discussing a back qb that has never started games like this? It is insane the reaches these media types make to talk about this team.

that is exactly the point I made above. He makes peanuts, has another year on this deal and he has definitely improved.... which is exactly why the team traded for him to begin with. Kind of like a certain WR.

Yup, and we're gonna have to keep 6 wrs.

Id trade him to the Dolphins for a 2nd round pick that can become a 1st depending on playing time and incentives
No NFL GM is gonna give a 2nd for a QB who’s been awful in the few regular seasons games he’s played in. I wasn’t even sure he would mk the team this season. Yes, he’s improved (in preseason plays against backups), but we would be lucky to get a 4th or 5th round pick for Milton right now.

Y'all forgot how Rmo and Dak started?
Except Romo and Dak play the position at a high level, and Milton has shown none of that ability in regular season, real games. Look, I hope he continues to develop, but let’s not go crazy over preseason performances.
