The mediots really miss the old TO don't they, it's almost like they don't know what to do or they don't have much to do.

I predict the major networks will layoff 60% of thier staff soon.

A good, old fashion 'no comment' would've solved this non-issue, but if a reporter asks a question, whether the topic presented is relevant or not, it must be answered...

Right..?

The correct answer is not 'yes' or 'maybe'.

I think people overrate the value of "No comment." Cuz even if he'd said, "no comment," then the report would've been a bit more speculative than it already is.

I look at it as a no-win. He says, "No comment," u still get the same headline only with a bit more gossipy-type report. At least you have actual quotes with which to discuss whether you actually like the comments or not.

I have to agree with you on that one WG.

This to me is a boring, non-issue, that ESPN would like to try and turn into a huge issue.
I can see this now on tonights SportsCenter with that idiot Jay Harris and Mike Greenberg or whoever. Developing Story .... T.O. is unhappy with the way the Cowboys are using him. Let's go to Ed Werder who is at Cowboys camp for more on the story. ESPN will make the most non story into something really big and it irritates me to no end.

ESPN as a network is dying, year after year, ratings are dropping and people are getting tired of their disney/boston centric/biased media coverage. It's only a matter of time before these scum bags are run completely into the turf.

I have no problem with what TO said. I would bet Garrett would of done things differently at times last year, but that would have to be true of any young offensive coordinator. Hopefully the team will learn from the experience and build on it this year.

Any stories which would've followed the interview could've been gossipy and possibly filled with innuendo, but they would've also been devoid of actual comments which could possibly be misconstrued. Fluff is still, by definition, fluff. Owens' comments were a bit more tangible than nothing at all.

The media doesn't deserve commentary regardless of how much they want to receive it. In fact, they should be made to work for their livelihood. Why gift them with this kind of bs?

I agree there coverage is lame in a lot of ways. Same with the NFL Network. I dont understand how they dont have weekly shows that breakdown training camps, rosters battles, provide fantasy info etc. As popular as this sport it I would bet people would eat it up. And for the love of god, get rid of the stupid segments on that tiny football field that is so gay. I want to see film break downs and other info that I cant get anywhere else, give me a reason to tune in.

It seems like all media today is about the quick fix and fluff pieces with no depth. They bring on experts to give inside analysis then ask then one or 2 questions and move onto something else. Thanks but you really dont learn much from a 2 minute segment.

Owens is gonna talk.

Owens is gonna say whats on his mind.

Owens wont lie.

We should be used to this by now.

Owens will talk, but he doesn't have to.

Owens is a very thoughtful man, but he doesn't have to speak his mind about everything.

I'm not going to comment about lying.

Everyone is used to Owens tendencies and the sports/football media is no exception.

I guess I prefer something more tangible than fluff and innuendo void of actual comment.

I agree with this.

What's wrong with T.O. questioning anything that has to do with the team's performance?

I know fans who have questioned many things about the Giants game (and rightfully), so for T.O. to question it is no big deal.

In my book, any player can question anything he wants as to team performance. (OK, I will admit that Ellis and Crayfish criticizing anything gets on my nerves, but the rest should and can and will.)
