I really don't understand why they don't want him back. If this was Aikman and he didn't have health concerns and had just come off a great season taking us to the NCFCG, and we had an unproven QB trying to take over, I would picket outside Jerruh's door until Troy was back at Valley Ranch.

Yeah, everyone's going to line up to give the Packers something for a player they know they:

a) Don't want

b) Can't keep

c) Costs $12 million

Dan Snyder? Anybody? Anyone?

Dude, you serious! Farve will not be cut!!!!!!! NewsFlash!! He won't be cut, he will be traded! Not within the division.

He won't be traded.

Nobody will give the Packers anything.

They'll simply wait for him to force his way out.

And he will.

Just like Owens forced his way out of Philadelphia, Favre will force his way out of Green Bay.

Sad that it will have to come to that.

I disagree! Owens situation was different. Tell you one thing, my friend, it sucks to be a Packer and a Packers fan right now. The longer this drags on the more Farve's friends turn on him(Players). Keep GB in the news, not the Cowboys.

Either way-Favre is ruining his own legacy.

The guy's 38-not many 30 year olds are fortunate enough to retire with so much wealth like that. He should spend at least the next several or so years in his home in Southern MS and watch his kids grow up. Again-not even 1% of the population has this luxury.

This guy really has some nerve. The whole state of Wisconsin will be on suicide watch if Favre gets his wish.

Farve is pissed because he didn't get what he wanted. He wanted Moss last year, didn't get it, then he wanted other offensive weapons and didn't get it so he cried like a little girl and quit.

Can you imagine if Staubach changed his mind in 1980 and demanded a trade to the Skins? Favre is treated like a God in Wisconsin, but there are limits to that good will. If he wants to play for a winner, he should stay in Cheese Land.

That's his first choice.

But the Packers have told him that they've 'moved on'.

Apparently, however, they're unwilling to let Favre 'move on' as well.

The thing is Favre has a reputation for not playing well indoors in dome stadiums, and he has had some horrible games in the Vikings Dome. Similar to how he's never won in Texas Stadium which is pretty much a dome, he has problems with the sloped surface etc.

Anybody who thinks that the Packers could possibly sit this guy is kidding themselves.

They can be as upset about it as they want - and they have a right to be - but there's no way they can follow through on their threat.

When all is said and done, Favre will be cut.

And I think he'll ultimately sign with Minnesota.

are you kidding me? the Lions didn't go back on Barry Sander's threat, dude still owes them 3 or 4 years lol

no he won't, he'll be Barry Sander-ing it in the Bayou

trying to get back in the league but the team doesn't budge on their stance, and he never ends up getting back in

I don't know how the Packers would do that. Can they deny him reinstatement?

Favre is the biggest D-Bag in football. Let him stand with a clipboard:laugh2:

naw, they could just deny his choice of what he's doing

if he gets reinstated, he has 3 choices, play for another team, play for the Packers, or backup the Packers, but w/ the Packers owning his rights, his choices get whittled down to being an ignonimus backup QB

and he probably won't go back under that circumstance, or unless he wants to embarrassingly have to compete w/ a crappy QB, who is assured of the spot

I don't believe they can deny him reinstatement according to a discussion I heard on NFL Channel. Their options are to bring him back to the team, cut him, or trade him.

If they wanted to be nasty, and could afford it capwise, they could bring him back and make him be the backup. That would probably tear the team apart and he would probably re-retire out of frustration.

That's the problem. He moved on and then changed his mind. He retired, and in March, when the Packers tried to talk Favre into coming back, he told them he was retired and that was that. EVERYONE involved moved on. The team, and especially Rodgers, proceeded for months with whole-hog preparations for Rodgers to become the starting QB of the Green Bay Packers. FINALLY, after several years of Favre's waffling and keeping the team in a state of limbo, right up until the opening of camp, Green Bay was ready and able to install its quarterback of the future without Brett Favre hanging over its head.

Then Favre pulled the rug out.

Personally, I don't care whose fault it is and hope nothing gets resolved until September, at the earliest.

The worst place for Farve to go for us Cowboy fans--trust me......

they would have a passing game to go with the run and their D is tough
