Here's a funny cat


Cats will instinctually freeze/relax when you grab the scruff of their neck because that's how mother cats carry their kittens.

If you put thick collars, harnesses, etc. on them that are somewhat tight or restricting, it will trigger the same reaction.
The cat in the above video appears to be refusing to standup because it's never experienced the sensation of something on it's back before.

It's best to harness train at mealtime so that the dinner distracts them from the new sensation and keeps them from focusing on removing it.

But the cat should just get it's buddy to help remove the harness from it's back...

Back when I delivered furniture for a living, we had a big glass top dining table standing on its side, when the customer's cat did that. He bounced back about a foot and a half, then hid under an end table and glared at us like we kicked him. The customer didn't think it was funny...She was wrong.
