Suppose, God forbid, Romo got hurt, and Brad Johnson ended up leading the 2008 Cowboys to a superbowl victory. Ouch, I know, my bLeEpS are hurting as I typed that. But since it is dead slow right now, two questions:

1) How does such a turn of events affect Romo's career?

2) Would Brad Johnson (who would be the winning QB on 2 superbowl teams) now be a candidate for the HOF?

No, go ahead and try and wrap your head around that one. Hurts, doesn't it!

Good luck...:laugh2:

If we win the Super Bowl.......I don't care if Obama starts at QB!

Suppose every starter went down with injury, and our backups lead us to a Super Bowl victory.

Do we cut all our starters?

The world is full of "supposes" and "What-ifs". It's fun to talk about ... just like going to Disney world. It's fantasy.

I have thought brad johnson should be starting over tony romo from day one.

This thread only proves I was right.

and based on your sig your must be a burgeoning wise man... :)

No, he wouldn't be a candidate for the HOF. Jim Plunkett won 2 Super Bowls and he's not a HOFer. The HOF is about impact on the game. Brad Johnson simply hasn't had enough impact on the game to qualify.

Never talk about Tony getting hurt. It gives me nightmares.

1) Romo would be fine after getting big bucks.

2) BJ couldn't do it on his own. The D would have to be off the hook. But... BJ has the experience and knowledge to do well.

What if brad and tony got hurt on successive plays on the first drive in the SB and P Crayton wins the game for us and has 300yds passing to go along with 150 yds reaceiving?

...because it pokes at the one nagging weakness that Cowboy faithful don't want to think about - BACK-UP QB!

OK, normally the back-up is an afterthought. But in the NFL last year QBs went down like shooting gallery ducks. Is anybody really confident that Brad Johnson can do more than fill-in for a game or two at best? Yea, Brad is an upgrade from Vinny, but not much. It's slow and slower. Yikes!
Pray for Romo to stay healthy.
