Nobody's ever won a Super Bowl with a great quote. I hope he really does put forth the effort. I like this guy already and I hope he can be an anchor for years to come.

What about "And you can put it in three-inch headlines. We will win the ballgame."? That one comes about as close as you can get to (getting to) a Superbowl with just a quote.

For all of the talk about Poe, the Cowboys were more interested in Brockers last year. So it will interesting to see how Frederick fares against Brockers this week assuming they match up head-to-head.

I was skeptical of Poe coming out. Basically had done nothing to warrant his pick other than have a nice combine.

Looks like he's progressing though.

Yep, I remember that. I was cautiously on the Poe bandwagon. But he was admittedly a huge risk with mediocre at best tape.

if we had drafted poe he would have been written off as a bust after last season

And people would be saying that he doesn't fit the 43 defense just like they are saying Claiborne doesn't fit the tampa 2.

So we had drafted Poe and he were productive people would be writing him off?

Good to know

A poor decision justified by the thinking that had we made the correct decision it would be called bad

Thomas had refused to talk to the media in the week leading up to Dallas' 24-3 win over Miami in Super Bowl VI. After the Cowboys' win, Brookshier stood next to the running back, talking about his speed and building up to this question: "Are you that fast?"
"Evidently," Thomas replied.

Here's a thought....If we had drafted Poe, maybe the 3-4 would have worked out

Perish the idea that having the appropriate personnel might be important to running a scheme effectively

There were real questions around Poe's productivity and the competition he faced in college but contrary to popular opinion, some of us did like Poe but were shouted down amidst the need for a 'game changer' like Claiborne and the idea that a true NT was not really needed for 'our version of the 3-4' since Rat was doing 'fine'

There are alot of guys they could have had with those first two picks that would likely have team ahead of where it is now, but who is counting.
