Here is my 53....I got Spencer and Okoye on the Inactive List prior to the season. Scandrick is suspended to he doesn't count either.

QB (2)- Romo, Weeden. I'm not saving a spot for that scrub Vaughan. If he makes the PS, fine. Tell me a team so desperate for qbs that they'll put him on their active roster?

RB(4)- Murray, Dunbar, Randle, Williams. Yep keeping all 4 for now...I want to run and screen teams to death with this oline. If Romo is hurt, let's make up for it with some easy dump offs and YAC!

TE (3)- Witten, Escobar, Hanna

Blocking FB/TE (1)- Waiver wire. Copeland and Clutts suck. Maybe bring Copeland to the PS. This fullback position is starting to become every bit the problem the safety position has become since Woody left. Where is our Mooooooooose?

WR (6)- Dez, TWill, Beaz, Harris, Street, Newsome. Should have drafted defense in the 5th round instead of Street. He is no better than Newsome or Byrd.

OL (8)- Tyron, Leary, Fred, Martin, Free, Mack, Parnell, Uche. Parnell survives solely b/c there is nobody else to replace him with. He has been a big disappointment. Wetzel to the PS, start trying to hide him now.

DL (10)- Lawrence, Mincey, Crawford, Melton, McClain, Coleman, Minter, Hayden, Selvie, Free Agent. Josh Brent will take one of these spots once he's back in shape as will Spencer. Okoye might too but I'm not convinced he's much of a player. 3 B's: Bishop, Boatright, and Bush to the PS.

LB (6)- McClain, Durant, Wilber, Carter, Hitchens, Holloman. Damn this group looks terrible.

Will Smith to the PS.

CB (5)- Mo, Carr, Moore, Mitchell, Webb. Webb is only on the team until Oscan comes off injury. I really hate everything Webb embodies. How are you gonna have long *** dreads and be soft? This must be a first for the nfl.

Patmon might sneak up and take Webb's spot. I wish he would.

S (5) Church, JJ, Heath, Hamilton, Dixon. I hate Heath, but they love him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dixon was cut too.

ST (3)- Bailey, Jones, Frenchie

You have Spencer on PUP but also active so you have one free spot left... not that we are so loaded that couldn't be a waiver wire addition.

Thx. Made that correction. I know you keep up with personnel around the league. Do you have any ideas for that last spot (quick twitch defensive end who can rush the passer)?

I like it. I'd leave the FB off and use a TE as a HBack. Add a CB due to OScan. Probably Patmon but who knows yet. I looked at more game but not all; Parnell played reasonably well esp if injured. He stays for good reason. Not sure about the other tackle either. I see Spencer on the 53 and maybe a player on IR designated for return.

Good list.

There will be a FA pickup somewhere.

CB, LB, DT 1 tech and even a backup swing tackle.

Should any viable options at these positions become available, we will obtain.

Look for at least 1 FA to make our 53 man roster.

I posted a few DL guys I had eyes on including Bowen who renegotiated his deal to stay in Washington.
ATL has Cliff Matthews on the bubble.
The easy answer is Michael Sam.
He can't run and is unathletic but he gets real pressure somehow even in NFL games.
STL has an insane DL so may not keep him.
There's probably a handful of small school guys I am totally unaware of that would be interesting to our front office.

I still live in a homeristic dreamland where Spencer and DLaw fill that role in 2 months. The heart wants what the heart wants....

Agree on 4 RBs. Garrett has always had 4.

Yes, can never have enough at times, especially when your top 2 have had injury issues. Even though Williams has also.

Guess it may come down to is the 4th RB in the top 53 best players to keep. I think he is at this point.

Seeing all those names laid out on defense, man that unit looks pretty bad. Hope Rod has some magic tricks

Then you can look at is as, it may only look bad because most fans don't recognize the names, and have no real idea how they may actually play.

How many people can honestly say, before last year if they looked at the Seahawks roster, and say, wow, that's a great defense....
Now based on previous years, some would know it will be good, but many fans wouldn't know 80% of the players.

It was reported that Okoye would practice today. That would make him ineligible for the NFI or PUP.

Holloman's might end up on IR, but that's just early speculation on his injury.

I would prefer to see Bishop over Hayden at the 1-tech, but McClain needs to get back and show that he can be the starter there.

Webb is a bit soft, but played well in the Ravens game. He was better than Mitchell. I'm curious about the CB that they traded for in the Ben Bass trade.

I thought Clutts looked OK in the game, but I just don't thing they will use a FB enough to make it worth keeping one. They could always sign a veteran after game one when the contracts are not guaranteed.

The free agent DE would need to be an obvious upgrade, IMO, to make it worth replacing a player that's been learning the scheme in training camp.

A 1 tech DT is the biggest problem right now,we have several DEs coming back but we seem to relying on Terrell McLain to be our savior.

Yes, just have to wait and see.
They can be as bad as last year, but I doubt worse if they stay healthy. Or they can improve some, which I expect them to. But chances are great they won't improve tremendously. LOL

In 2012, the Seahawks were #4 in Total Defense, #1 in PPG, #8 in INTs, and #5 in Forced Fumbles. They had 2 defensive All Pros and 3 Pro Bowlers on that team.

This is actually a pretty good 53 prediction. I think Clutts makes the team, or they go long at another position and don't carry a FB. Maybe an extra OL or WR.

I thought Clutts looked OK in the game, but I just don't thing they will use a FB enough to make it worth keeping one. They could always sign a veteran after game one when the contracts are not guaranteed.

And that might very well be the move. Cut Clutts, sign him after week one to a non-guaranteed contract.

I think the team likes Hayden as a stop-gap better than you do. And then, yes, they're looking at McClain as a likely upgrade to that place holder. I don't like it much, either, but the 1-tech options are still a lot better than the almost-nothing we're trotting out at rush end right now.
