When a team gets manhandled in every phase of the game the way the Eagles did, it usually comes down to the other guys just being a bad matchup for your team.

What Dallas has in the trenches on both sides is capable of overpowering the Eagles at the line of scrimmage.

If both teams play their "A" games, the Cowboys will win.

If both teams play their "B" games, the Cowboys will win.

If the Eagles play well and the Cowboys are more than a little bit off, the Birds have a chance.

The truth is, the Eagles can't win. The Cowboys can only lose.

nice have them doubting all week

Seriously, I think if we jump on them early they will fold like a cheap suit. You could tell by the looks on their faces at the end of the game that they knew they were totally dominated in every facet of the game.

You dont just go to bed and wake up the next day and forget about that. That **** will linger in the back of your mind all freaking week.

Actually, that's EXACTLY my thinking-- the only way the Iggles win is if the Boys shoot themselves in the foot ...

They haven't been doing too much of that here lately...

Like Andy Reid said, we are the better team. But as the saying goes, given any Sunday any team has a puncher's chance to win.

If we play smart football, we will win 10 out of 10 times because we are the better team.

I thought that was a good article. I agree that Dallas has to play a poor game in order to lose. If Dallas plays well they will when even if the Eagles also play well. That is what happened in the first match up. Both teams played a good game and Dallas came out on top.

When you add the fact that the Cowboys have beaten the Eagles three of the last four games and Wade Phillips is 4-2 against them, then you know the Cowboys are in their heads.

The number of penalties did creep up last game. We must avoid the drive stalling penalties.

Isn't it refreshing to be sitting here in January believing this to be true! :dance3:

The key to this game will be Philly's ability or inability to stop the run. In the past, they've used effective run-blitzes to stuff us and even force negative plays which sets up their pass-blitzes on 2nd/3rd and long. If they're able to effectively stuff our run, it will be a struggle.

We were able to gash them early, which kind of put them on their heels early on last Sunday.

Here's an opportunity to steal a line from one of our most hated rivals......Buddy Ryan, and make it our own.

"Who the hell are the philadephia eagles? We beat them every time we play them!"

The comments by Philly fans written below John Smallwood's article are classic. They're calling him "Cowboy John" and talking crap. Some are saying that Romo folds under pressure and saying when the Eagles blitz a lot this week he will air-mail them the game. Some are even saying they watched Dallas barely eek out a win against a terrible Washington team 7-6 and that Dallas is a bad football team.

:laugh2:

Just more blind fans in Philly being dweebs.

It is simply the fans grabbing at straws to find something to be confident in. In reality, the writer is absolutely right. There was no part of the game where the Cowboys faltered in, besides penalities, and still, they only started coming up on the offensive side of the ball when we were up 17-0. The offense is good enough to put up points should penalties happen, and the Defense just needs to force some more turnovers to kill the Eagles confidence.
