Here's to the ledge jumpers!

Just as you don't want to acknowledge we put up 31 points in the second half?

Nonsense. I'm pleased as punch that they won--something entirely expected, btw.

We sucked in the first half...it still does not mean a game is over yet.

Who said it was? Fans had every right to be upset at the half. It was an underwhelming performance. You expect us to withhold criticism 'till the game is over? Why is there a live game thread?

You know you are not exactly batting a thousand here...you might need a nap or something.

Wit as sharp as a butter knife.

Bledsoe underperformed against possibly the worst defense in NFL history. If you're happy with mediocrity, then good for you.

Bledsoe completed 68% of his passes, threw for 2 touchdowns, had no interceptions or fumbles. 2 completions were called back because of penalties and he was shut down in the 4th quarter now for the second time when he could've padded his stats. When you complain about Bledsoe after a game like this it blows your credibility. You have an agenda (Romo) and will never give Bledsoe credit.

I thought Bledsoe played decently.

Wow...really, seems like all you have been doing is being crabby since the game was over. You must be a real hoot at parties.

Just find it funny when people, even after a game, act like they are crabby.

Wit as sharp as a butter knife.

Was not trying to be funny, was offering advice.

Before you go getting so cocky over whipping the TExans, I'd look at the first half again....then I'd wait till next week against the Giants in NY before getting too uppity.

Thats pretty much how I feel. Beating the Texans isnt an accomplishment.

Beating any team is an accomplishment.

I will take a ugly win over a pretty loss anyday.

This team, as it's assembled, will never win a big game with Bledsoe at quarterback. He's too immobile and indecisive to be effective AGAINST A GOOD DEFENSE! We need a QB that can drop back quickly, make a quick read, and get rid of the ball. It wasn't necessary against Houston, but against Philly, Carolina, Atlanta, and especially Chicago, Drew Boy will kill us!

I agree. His mistake was not getting away from that second sack, his back foot slipped as he tried to recover from the ankle tackle and it made him look like a dope. He led Witten too much on the potential TD, another spastic move. Otherwise a very solid outing and it was encouraging to see some TO hookups.

I think he deserves a start against the Giants but the gameplanning will need to more creative at Giants stadium and Bledsoe will need to be at his best.

You guys are saying he played decently against one of the worst pass defenses in the NFL.

Dude, I'm a giant homer. I just don't like Bledsoe.

What's to like? Oh, he's better than every other qb since Aikman.

It's not much, but that's about the highest praise I can heap on him.

The apologists and flunkies don't want to acknowledge the first half. "If we win, who cares how we get there?" Delusional.

I told my brother at half-time, that even if the Cowboys came back to score 4 2nd half tds, I would not be happy with the win.

I figured they would blow the Texans out in the 2nd half, but I can't be happy about such a poor 1st half performance.

Oh well, I guess that makes me a gnasher and wailer.

I swear when we win the super bowl again. There will be people complaining right after the game, "crap we have to pick at the 32nd spot we're doomed." Just take it easy people, it was clear the Cowboys looked past the Texans and thats all fine as long as you win.

Just wondering did anybody see the Tenn/Indy game, I kind of doubt their were indy fans freaking out about only beating the Titans by 1 point. Ahhh, its the end of the world.

Just chill and relax, its a much better life style, and a W is a W, even if the Clinton administration took them off the keyboards.

JMO though

I'd rather have him play decently against a bad team than play badly. "Good" is always better than "bad" in my book.

So far we're 3-2. Those three wins are against:

Washington (2-4)
Tennessee (1-5)
Houston (1-4)

I'm definitely glad we're winning the games we're supposed to. And the closest any of these games has been is 17 points.

On the other hand we lost close games to Jax and Philly on the road that were very winnable but we made too many mistakes and a lot of them by Bledsoe.

I think we have the makings of a real good team. I also think we can only go so far with Bledsoe, which is the same thing I thought last week.

I can't disagree with one thing you've said. I think Bledsoe can take us only as far as he's protected. He's not going to manufacture plays ala Elway or Staubach. That's ok as long as he will just not make too many mistakes. And too many fumbles. He's plain careless with the ball even when he knows the entire world is coming.

My Gawd, the ledge jumping Gnashers and Wailers are funny. I mean, they're annoying as well, but as a phenomenon they can be pretty hysterical. We've got a thread called something like "I never thought we'd be this bad" on a day when we WON BY 27 POINTS. Do other teams' boards do this -- have hundreds and hundreds of negative posts on DAYS THE TEAM WINS?

Thanks for the entertainment, guys. Now back to your Gnashing and Wailing -- I'm sure there's something to complain heartily about.

It was good to see us one that big, but you have to admit the offense was stagnant with only making maybe 1 serious drive for td, otherwise it was defense putting us in position to score.

Bledsoe did not look that good. He still took the sacks even with time, could not see an obvious blitz, took very few looks in the passing game, missed open receivers, and missed out be overthrowing open receivers deep.

If you said, ...in the first half, you might get some limited support.

In the second half it was a different game.
Bledsoe was quite fine in the second half.

Our team was out of sync early on both sides of the ball as was Philly against NO. Its called big game hangover.

The second half was a beating of epic proportions.

We have beaten two bad teams and lost to two good ones on the road. We are about where we should be.

We will have to deal with blitzing better but we did that in the second half.

Bledsoe is certainly not perfect but he was far from underperforming on the day. He was certainly not responsible for the facemasks and holding calls in the first half.

I'm not certian I wouldn't rather see Romo in there but it is what it is and Bl;edsoe was fine today against a bad team. When you win by 28 there's little a sensible person(that's not the coach) would complain about.

Bledsoe 2 sacks came from guys being unblocked. I dont care how critical you want to be.. That is never on the QB.

Bledsoe backed up the over-lead to Witten with a TD to Owens. So no harm done there. The only other pass he missed was the one to Glenn late in the game.

I swear. If coaches and owners were as critical and have knee-jerk reactions as some of the fans here there would be different people starting each week.

Agreed, its crazy sometimes. Its like they are playing Madden and can plug anyone in there and have success.

Not only that but his play rating of OK, decent or passable does in fact consider it is against a bad team. Had he put up two TDs, 60% comp % and zero INTs against the Eags that would have been darn good not decent.

A QB is not the only offensive player and others were in a funk early. We were killing our own drives with penalties galore. TO fell down on one sure-fire catch and first down. Witten ran straight down the seem when the inside was wide open. Not sure how that is actually handled but my gut says he shoulda broke post and caught a TD pass.

Bledsoe was far from great but he was not the main culprit unlike last week where he was gawd awful.

Bledsoe hasn't proven he can take this team anywhere but he can beat the dregs of the league. Who exactly has proven he can take his team anywhere? Romo obviously hasn't. Pretty sure the guys who would lead us to the promised land and not leave room for severe criticism at some point are simply unavailable. Its Brady, Manning(big bro and who knows once the playoff games start; he tends to look like Bledsoe then)Palmer, Hasselbach, maybe a couple more but its a short list of guys we can't grab.

The one intriguing guy we had a real shot at is Brees. Not real proven but he did look 10 times better against the Eags then Bledsoe did. Then again Troy never looked too great against the Eags either. Those guys just play us like its the end of the world.
