So now I 'm a Romo "hater" because I point out some concerns? You certainly don't have to agree with my point of view but don't pretend to know what I "hate" or how much I watch. We must have been watching 2 different games if you didn't see those issues. It's one thing to run the play clock down. It's another to use a time out because you let it run down AND get a PENALTY because you let it run out. We will differ on the fumble I'm sure but I put that on him also.

When the point is accusing him of what most all QB do. Yes he used a TO he got to the line saw something he did not like knowing time was running out he avoided having us run a play that was a problem vs the defense alignment he was seeing and 2 he avoided a delay. If you watch any other game you will see many of the other QB's doing the same, given the nature of the calls they are making then the adjustments they have to make they run the clock down to under 5 secs not just in Dallas

If he keeps scrambling the way he did on the 21 yard pick up, they will have to start calling him Tony the Dodger, note to Tony, don't do that too often.

But was a big play.

Romo played poorly 3 weeks ago and was coming off his second back surgery in two years? Not like there was no ammo there...

Yes the ammo was there but so was the unwillingness of the Romo haters to give him a chance to work through his issues. Those with shovels throwing dirt on his grave prematurely really put a bad taste in my mouth.

That's understandable and hear your point there.

Here we go.
Some of you people must have never played organized sports.
You do realize that anyone in any sport is subject to what you just said?
And, while we're on the subject, who goes into a game thinking "if we lose"?
I would NEVER want anybody on my team with that mindset. Again, must have never played organized team sports. You never go into a game thinking about losing or thinking about getting hurt. I don't see how some people enjoy the games with these thought processes prior to a game.
Success people, Success!!!!

Here we go.

Judging people whom you know nothing about, babe.

I made the point that he's vulnerable, more than most, given his age and recent injury history. And of course, the elation that has us all thinking about the playoffs may be short-lived, realistically. When you play organized sports, you don't get too high after wins, or too low after losses; you keep things in realistic perspective, especially as a coach. You also recognise weaknesses and vulnerabilities so that you can plan contingencies.

I have played and coached and was probably doing so before you were born, though I thoroughly respect your opinions.

Amen! Everyone thought he was washed up after a week or two. Now he's throwing the ball with zip and he's as elusive as ever back there in the pocket.

He's got the best running game and best offensive line he's ever played behind, and some of the best weapons to throw to as well. If he stays healthy, I expect a very efficient (albeit less flashy) year out of him.

Actually I am as big of a Romo fan as anyone on this board. He has played pretty efficiently the past couple of games, and particularly well last night. But if you guys think he is anywhere near 100 percent you are fooling yourself. I was at the game last night and it was very clear to me that he is still a little bit weak and favoring his back. Many of his throws were ducks, and he did not have much zip on the ball. Either he is intentionally throwing the ball softly, or he is more compromised than he is letting on.

A couple of his throws last night were bullets. I'm not so naive as to think he's fully recovered, but I do think he's getting more comfortable back there.

Romo was throwing darts out there yesterday. Not every pass is intended to be a laser...

I am going to have to beg to differ with you. When the ball wobbles in mid air, it is not a dart. Moreover the receivers had to wait on the ball a little longer than usual. Like I said, I am a HUGE Romo fan. I was at the game and have seen him play at almost every home game he has ever played in ..... so I would be in a pretty good position to know the difference. His velocity was adequate. That is not the point. He is not up to full strength. I would bet large sums of money on it. You heard it here first.

Romo displayed great decision making last night, and especially on the scramble. The scramble was effective, but he ran that like he had cement shoes on. It looked like Witten running the ball in in live action. Keep in mind .... this isn't a Romo basher saying this .... I am one of his biggest fans. But he isn't nearly at 100 percent.

I'm hoping that running Romo is the new Romo. It's nice to finally see it. The dude is no burner, but he can get first downs.
