I am a fan of this version of Tony Romo. He's managing the game, and he doesn't feel the need to carry the team on his shoulders because of this run game.

The gunslinger/ chuck and duck version of Tony Romo that throws 35+ passes a game and throwing into triple coverage, I am not a fan of.

Ah...the great Russian aphorism! The rumors of his demise indeed "seem" to be exaggerated...and his near 70% completion percentage may tell the story better. I have to admit that he seems to be going much better than in the opener (Rams). I had some serious concerns about him after that one. The 21 yard scamper was perfectly timed and a dagger in the heart of the Saints defense last night. From washed up, to the penthouse in four games. A rather modest turnaround I would say, because there won't be too many fans that want to send him into the good night after "last night"!

I don't know if he can continue to play at the level of Sunday night, but I do know that Murray is on pace for a whopping 1600 yard season, and if that projection comes to fruition, the Cowboys will certainly be in playoff contention.

Murray's not on pace for 1600, he's on pace for an NFL-record 2136.

His demise has been greatly exaggerated.. He's playing better and better.. He's playing efficient and in control... I for one was wrong...

There's going to be a whole lot of posters with nothing to say today.

Go Tony!

Thinking about those 'Romo is done' threads from just 3 weeks ago makes me laugh now. I wish someone would post his 21 yard career long run from last night.

I don't have to be a big Romo fan to be a Cowboy fan do I? While I am over joyed at the way he played yesterday I, for one, did see some "things" that worry me. Maybe I am hesitant because of the number of times I have been let down? Regardless I will ALWAYS be a Cowboy fan. But here was my concern. In the 4th quarter the way he managed the play clock was at times rookie like. Not sure why? The one fumble was, imo caused by running the clock down so far that while the line was still giving assignments he calls for the snap at the last second. Another time he is forced to call time out (around the 5 minute mark) when he had plenty of time to get the play right and keep the clock running. And finally, even though he threw a great pass after, the delay of game penalty was senseless. So I thing they are very easy fixes and we move on...........

He's still one blind-side hit away from IR, but so are most QB's.

We need to enjoy this while it lasts.

and that is why he has one of the best if not the best OL in the NFL, to keep him upright. All QB's run a risk as far as Romo back thus far not preventing him from making some difficult throws, has been able to escape pressure when it comes and even running the ball when needed.

Yes late in the game he was running the clock down, duh. Romo also was dealing with Ryan defense who gives a lot of looks this was talked about before the game of Cowboys getting to the line quick and giving Romo time to make adjustment vs a defense that has a lot of movement in it.

And this is the type of issues that you bring up after a huge, emotional win. You don't want the team to get to high on themselves...there is always some things that need clean-up. There were some nervous moments after the Saints scored 17, with still nine minutes left to play. You could not help think: Oh, Oh, here we go again...we have seem some spectacular collapses by this Garrett-led team over the last four years.

This. In fact, I said several times that I thought around the 4th game would be when he would be fully back.

Tony has been great. He looks himself again. I'm very pleased. I feel a little bit for you, though. You are such a Romo fan (I am too!), and I think one day you are going to feel what I felt when Aikman retired. Its tough when your favorite player finishes up his career.

98.7 QB rating for our washed-up, finished, shell-of-his-former-self QB.

Amen! Everyone thought he was washed up after a week or two. Now he's throwing the ball with zip and he's as elusive as ever back there in the pocket.

He's got the best running game and best offensive line he's ever played behind, and some of the best weapons to throw to as well. If he stays healthy, I expect a very efficient (albeit less flashy) year out of him.

don't forget the accuracy

Let me help you out since you seem to miss the point: He had TROUBLE WITH THE PLAY CLOCK SEVERAL TIMES DUH.

Romo played poorly 3 weeks ago and was coming off his second back surgery in two years? Not like there was no ammo there...anyone who saw Aikman's demise understands that back issues are killer to a QB. I am glad that his back is progressively improving after his first 6 quarters of play, which is the most encouraging. Thinking of the future QB when your 34 year old QB doesn't look healthy was understandable in my opinion.

We need to enjoy this while it lasts.

Here we go.
Some of you people must have never played organized sports.
You do realize that anyone in any sport is subject to what you just said?
And, while we're on the subject, who goes into a game thinking "if we lose"?
I would NEVER want anybody on my team with that mindset. Again, must have never played organized team sports. You never go into a game thinking about losing or thinking about getting hurt. I don't see how some people enjoy the games with these thought processes prior to a game.
Success people, Success!!!!

Evidently you don't watch much NFL games he was not running it down any more than most QB do. However haters will hate so have at it, anything to slam Romo on Right but if you watch the damn games around the league it is no different.

Kinda like we were saying earlier in the season that Tony's return would probably be like Witten's return from the spleen injury. Sometimes guys need some time to return to form after a significant injury. I'm just glad he's able to play like that, still, even now. Let's hope he can keep it up.

So now I 'm a Romo "hater" because I point out some concerns? You certainly don't have to agree with my point of view but don't pretend to know what I "hate" or how much I watch. We must have been watching 2 different games if you didn't see those issues. It's one thing to run the play clock down. It's another to use a time out because you let it run down AND get a PENALTY because you let it run out. We will differ on the fumble I'm sure but I put that on him also.
