No one is disputing that. The bottom line is he's going to be criticized NO matter what he does, unless hes winning every game by some absurd amount.

Do we really want more run attempts than pass attempts, though? Run teams typically excel by out-physicalling their opponent and playing smart, efficient football consisting of lengthy, mistake-free drives.

That's not what we are -- at all!

We're undisputably a passing team, but a passing team that should not go 27 straight plays in a tight game against Green Bay without running the football.

But I don't think we need -- or really want -- to see Garrett consistently calling more run plays than pass. It's just a matter of developing a nice balance, and knowing when to implement the run.

The Giants game week 2 comes to my mind. It was more 50/50. http://www.nfl.com/gamecenter/2009092014/2009/REG2/giants@cowboys#tab:analyze

But he didn't go overboard like you are making out to be. Like some absurd run/pass ratio.

LOL...don't come to me when you don't know that stats...We passed the ball 10 more times than we rand the ball that game, and IMO, THAT is what cost us...they could stop the run and we ran it 3 straight times at the goal line.....and had to settle for a FG....THAT is what cost us the game that day.

I could go on about that game....football is about a couple of plays here and there and JG cost us that game.

It was 28 rushes to 38 passes that game.....try again. 28 rushes for 248yards to 38 passes for 127 yards.

This was probably the FIRST game where it was more runs than passes since JG has been the OC......like I said....try again.

Oh, I don't know....you could listen to Moose when he admitted to running the ball more than passing those years we won the superbowl...

Or, you could say that this is a Passing league now.

Either way, does it matter.

Yet it doesn't get away from my main post.

I don't know the stats? It says Romo 29 pass attempts.

As for the running game:

Barber - 18
Jones - 7
Crayton -1
Choice - 2
Romo - 1

= 29 attempts rushing.

But hey, I can add too.

Do I have to take a screen shot where it says 29 passing plays and 29 running plays to make it that much more simple for you?

Yes, this is extremely troubling.

However, it is not known if the GM, Head Coach or both told him to tone down on the Pass Plays.

I agreed with Joe Buck, Jason Garrett was playing right into the Skins' hands by not throwing as much during some portions of the game.

Forget the fact that Romo was hurting and his passes were sailing on him.

After what I saw today this team needs to pass the ball to establish some tempo.Rushing the ball is good but this team is not suited to be a power running team. This team just looks all out flat when leaning on the run to open a game.It appears that they need to pass the ball and put some points on the board before trying to shorten the game with the run.I hate to say this but a few more runs today could have resulted in a loss if this game was against a team with a good offense.

I think it's almost the exact opposite. The line looks way better when they are running the ball.

I don't like the fact that Jerry can say he wants something done in a PC

and then the next game, it's done

if Jerry is pulling the strings on gameday, I don't want to hear about it, because that is just pathetic

he's not a football guy

They were picking up some yards but the offense just didn't have any tempo. They were just flat for some reason.Ofcoarse the same thing can be said about last week as well when they were considered pass happy.

Hah, yea.

I just think that Barber gives this team some attitude when he gets touches, and the offense feeds off of it. I think it's hard to say that they were flat when they were getting like 6 yards a carry on the drive MBIII fumbled.

Barber is looking better.

Felix is still tentative but i'm hoping he starts clicking soon.I didn't notice the brace today.

It's hards to argue about the ypc at the start of the game.I just feel that this team is addicted to the big play that comes from the passing game.If they could of mixed in a little more pass I think they would have been better off today. It just seems long drives and this team don't go together at times, they either have a turnover or stall due to penalty. Now if Felix can rebound back into a playmaker maybe they can get a few big plays out f the running game.

JG is changing is play-calling depending on what the masses want.

I was all for more running plays being called and JJ wanted Felix to get the ball more.

Let's go to the game, Felix is in the game more than he ever has been and we run the ball more today.

If we have an OC that can be swayed by what the masses want, then there is a problem.

We need a guy calling plays that maybe sees what the masses say, but doesn't totally change the way he calls a game.

Today, he went away from what he ALWAYS has been in the past. If you disagree with that, I can post play-by-play of EVERY game that he has called.

Big Boy...garrett is out matched...get used to it.

It's execution again, in my opinion.

We had guys open and ran the ball well, but Romo's accuracy issues ( which we know the cause of now) hindered the offense more than anything else today.
