Watch Marinellis interview from yesterday. He says yeah you want to put Byron in a spot where he can settle, yet they don't. I get it he's prob also our best corner, but that shouldn't matter to me. Let him settle at FS and take your lumps at CB or put him at corner where he'll never end up and also take lumps at FS. It makes no sense whatsoever. Im a Marinelli supporter, but this ones got me scratching my head.

Byron's been playing NFL football for three whole months.

They'll get him settled this offseason.

I think he'll continue to be a hybrid player that plays both safety and corner like he's doing now.

I think this was the appropriate year to see what he could do at all positions due to matchups with TEs and injuries. Now, depending on how the draft unfolds, we will either have CBs and use him at FS or we'll find a FS in the draft and put him at CB....we have to run through free agency and the draft before we're in a position to determine his...it's a luxury that he can play both.

Weddle over Berry. Berry is a SS and we have a while roster of them. What we need is s FS, so Weddle is my choice from those 2

If they got Weddle, he would play SS here too. He's lost a step. I don't want to see him as a single high safety. I don't really want to throw money at him either way because he's not worth the contract he'd get on the open market. He is going to get a "what have you done" contract, not a "what can you do for me" contract. We don't need any more players like that.

Jayron Kearse in the second round would be awesome. He is rare combination of size and speed at the safety position. He is a ballhawk who isn't afraid to cover. There is a chance he goes late first, but I think he will be available early second. Then Jones could be at corner.

Weddle's approaching the wrong side of 30. Put Jones at FS, sign Berry and we are set for the next 6 years.

I can agree with that. Now we need corners lol. Can you get a Berry and a top corner? Personally I would look to the draft for CB

We don't need top CBs with Marinelli. Anyone can get 0 INTs.

I would like to change that. That being said why do you think we went from one of the best last year in forcing turnovers to dead last this year

I don't have any proof but TOs are generally flukes. The ball bounces funny. All teams have become adept at stripping the ball from the offense so the biggest controllable variables are found in QB hits and strips.

Also teams that are trailing usually take more chances and throw more INTs. We haven't had many leads.

Those are valid points

Scandrick got hurt. White thought he knew better. Patmon had poor skills.

Therefor the rookie has to play the slot and other man responsibilities. It's no more complicated than that.
