Dak has to be the QB that plays 3rd game vs Giants in playoffs. Not Romo.

Win or lose. Dak as to get the chance. Not Romo.

Yes, I've changed back and THIS is why!

I think Romo gives us the best chance to win..

With that said if you bench dak I fear his confidence will shatter. He needs to fight through it and get it rolling. Because although Romo might be better now, Dak is better long term.

He does but he does not guarantee a win vs Giants in his 3rd or 4th game in 12 months.

The story book ending is Romo leads us to the promise land finally.

I still want that. But I'll take Madea QBing this team as long as we win SB.

They are why I think we need Romo.:p

He lost BOTH games by a total of 4 points.
He might crack that code.

We don't need Romo because we've seen 10 years of it and it's been failure every year for whatever reason. Now if I fail at something for 10 years, you might want to go with the new guy.

It would be a fire-able offense to trot Dak out there for a third time. They are not just going to start magically leaving Beasley and Witten open because we ask them nicely. They are going to do the exact same thing as before and Dak will still be holding on to the ball looking clueless. And the only three people in the stadium who will be surprised by this will be the Three Stooges Dallas Chapter of Jerry, Jason and Scott.

How many teams this talented have you seen in this franchise? Why waste an opportunity with inferiorn QB play? If it hurts Dak's confidence, then he's not the guy. Steve Young did just fine.

the decision on tony was made several weeks ago its to late for all that they are going to sink or swim with dak and we all know that in 50 years of superbowls a rookie qb has never even made it there I also think that tony gives them the best chance to win but they don't so it pretty much is what it is.

If Dak sucks it up and leads the team over TB - great. But if he continues to falter miserably... pull him early in the second half. The Cowboys can't afford to piss this thing away. Homefield or bust - they must do everything in their power to secure home field through the Conference playoffs.

Start Romo. If not, the most we can hope for is we stick with the crap stain that is Dak Prescott for a few years, watch our team decline like the 49ers spiral and we draft Sam Darnold in a few years.

I think Linehan leaving in the offseason will be a huge blow for Dak. I also think if Romo doesn't start this season and is gone in the offseason, it will be one of those decisions similar to Johnson release and letting Sean Payton out of the door

Jimmy Johnson said it best today, he would stay with Dak. People look at Romo's body of work, but they don't look at recent history. He hasn't played much in a few years and when he did he struggled. The last two times he came back from injury he struggled. Look at recent history not just the body of work.

Here’s a fair question. Romo said it himself in his press conference that the NFL is a meritocracy. That means you go with whomever gives you the best chance to win. It took a great amount of maturity and class for Romo to do that.

So the knock on pulling Dak in favor of Romo is that that is supposed to bust his conference and thus trash is career. However, doesn’t he also know that the NFL is a meritocracy? He’s demonstrated a lot of maturity for his age. Doesn’t he have the maturity to know it would be nothing personal if the team brought Romo back in to play – that they’re just doing what gives the team the best chance to win?

I’m not saying for certain that Romo definitely is the best chance to win in the playoffs. I’m honestly not certain. I’m just saying that in the event that he is, and Dak is struggling, doesn’t Dak have the maturity to handle a QB change? The original plan was for Romo to be the starter and Dak to be the third stringer. Should the only question be who gives us the best chance to win in the playoffs right now? Won’t Dak be okay in the event that he needs to take a back seat to Romo for now?

My question isn't who should start. It's "Won't Dak be okay if he doesn't start for a while?"

Prescott failed repeatedly throughout college, why let him fail here?

Took sorry team to #1 in the country. Took 4-12 Dallas Cowboys to 11-2. 10 years of failed Romo, it's over.
He took them to #1 then choked hard. And don't give me that sorry team BS, how many sorry teams has Romo had since he's been here.
