Yahoo! Sports' Jason Cole penned this piece late last week that casts a skeptical eye towards the Cowboys' pursuit of Pacman Jones.

"I wouldn't have him on my team," Kansas City coach Herm Edwards told Cole. "I just wouldn't. I won't get into the reasons why."

And then, there was this: "Most guys who are trouble like that, you can get them to pay attention and step right for a year or two, maybe," said a team executive who wished to remain nameless. "But after that, they just go back to what they really are."

An interesting story, which shows that there are plenty of people in the league who don't really believe that the light's turned on, or necessarily will ever turn on, for Pacman.

I guess Herm doesnt coach to win the game..:laugh2:

Bring Pacman to dallas..If he stays in line for 1-2 years that's all we need from Him. We have about a 3-4 year span where we can wint his thing. Get the players we need now an go for the 6th ring. Leave pride and class to the losers like herm.

He's got an opinion on everything from what the players hair looks like to whether Pac Man should play on his team. Maybe he should worry more about winning more than 4 games.

Amazing. Folks on the board would be saying "Herm knows what he's talking about" if it were the Skins who were after Pacman

Nah.

They'd complain about anti-Dallas bias first.

I wouldn't say Herm is way off concerning Pacman.

Seriously, how many of you really think Pacman has changed?? I for one don't think that he has, but I do think he has some sense in realizing that his money an opportunity is running out.

Will he be a choir boy now, I doubt it, but I think he might keep himself subdued for a season or two hopefully or he will be just another Lawrence Phillips story along with those who were talented with nothing upstairs to manage their talent.

Ricky Williams took awhile to realize this, but soon noticed his bank account was getting thin.

Lets hope Pacman won't revert back to his earlier mistakes, especially if he becomes a Cowboy.

I agree, but it was a funny line.

Only way I want Adam Jones (not pacman) is for a 7th round pick, and that's it. Then he would have to redo his contract and have more clauses than the North Pole.

Herm has a good point.
Herm is a horrible head coach.
Herm seems like a really nice guy though.

Herm has two playoff wins.

I can't help but notice that there are 29 other head coaches who don't seem to be in a hurry to add Pacman to their rosters. I wonder why?

lol lets turn this into a Herm Edwards bashing contest.

I wonder how many people within the league share his opinion?
