Wow! That explains a lot.

Including the difference between him pre and post Viking trade.

I'll bet the Vikes try to get back some of those picks because they didn't get the guy they traded for. They got Sybil.

There was no difference in Walker pre and post trade. The difference was the Vikings refused to feed him the ball. They weren't as smart as Tom Landry.

In 49 games with Dallas before the trade Herschel touched the ball 1013 times rushing and receiving for an average of 20.7 times a game. And that was with splitting time with Tony Dorsett for two years. With the Vikings in 42 games he had 637 touches for a 15.2 per game. Why trade for a guy if you are not going to use him?

Plus the Vikes weren't one player away from winning it all. Can you name their QBs at the time? Most people can't without looking it up. Wade Wilson and Rich Gannon. Even Tommy Kramer had to see some action in the playoffs in 1989. The Vikes were not as good as they thought they were when they made the trade for Walker.

I dated a woman about 8 years ago who was diagnosed with MPD. She was on all kinds phychotic and mood altering drugs to try and stablize and merge her personalities.

She used to tell me about her childhood recollections of satanic ritual abuse she suffered as an infant. It takes a hugh amount of counceling to try to get all these personalities to merge in order for them to live a normal life like everyone else.

At the time I was reading alot on the subject to try to get some understanding about the illness and believe me, its perhaps one of the most complex and difficult things to over come.

Sometimes, depending on the situation, I never knew which girl was going to show up. Now I know some of you guys might be thinking: hey cool! a different woman every day. But it just is not like that when your dealing with a close relationship.

The relationship ended after about 8 months. I saw her again about two years ago and she had made some giant strides with overcoming the abuse. I was glad to see that because some people have to deal with it well into their sixies.

I have to admit, it was a very significant learning experience for me.

That's one way to get some pub.

That was my first thought. I love Herschel Walker but this seems to be a publicity stunt to promote his new book with some teaser about him having multiple personalities.

When Wilt Chamberlain came out with his biography, "A View From Above", everyone rushed out to buy it because in it he supposedly made the claim that he had slept with 20,000 women. Once you actually read it you find out that he says that "I must have slept with 20,000 women" making an intentionally gross exaggeration about how much sex he was getting. It was also something he allowed the publisher to keep in even though Wilt didn't mean it as an exact number as it would sell better.

I find it disturbing that some of Herschel's closest friends ever saw the manifestation of multiple personalities in him. Usually, people you are close to can recognize this pretty easily, I know we could in my mother-in-law.

I remain skeptical.

When I was growing up my mom's co-worker worked out at the same health club as Herschel Walker. He used to hit on her all the time. He was married, and supposedly was seeing another woman at the church they went to. He would sit with his wife, and his girlfriend would sit in the pew right behind him.

Maybe that eventually pulled him in multiple directions...

Well, this makes the trade a bit more even. Maybe Jimmy and Jerry convinced the Vikings that Herschel was really 17 different players.

:lmao2:

That was good.
