I agree. However if I was going to call pass I would have as you said lined up under center, play action and have Wilson roll giving him the option of run or pass. Thing is the play was a 2nd and 1 with a timeout to spare.

If I was going to throw which I wouldn't have in that situation I would have lined up under center and faked it to Lynch drawing the defense to him leaving a wide open receiver. Can't imagine a receiver not being open in that situation with everyone expecting Lynch who almost scored the previous play. The Seahawks gave the pass away and Butler read it enabling him to jump the route.

I think given that I have Lynch in the backfield and it is 2nd and 1 I would have ran it 3 times if need be. I hand it to Pats they saw the alignment and knew what was coming and played it great.

When you look at the Packers final series the Cowboys defense continued not being able to pressure Rodgers. It was just more of what we saw the entire second half. Taking the ball away from Matthew Stafford is a lot easier than taking the ball away from Aaron Rodgers. Stafford throws a lot of picks and Aaron Rodgers doesn't. I'm not doubting that Romo couldn't have gotten it done had he had the opportunity in the end but I have no faith the Cowboys defense would have performed any better protecting a lead than they did trying to get the ball back.

You're probably right, but you just never know. The teams were fairly evenly matched that day, and the Packers chance of scoring on any given drive wasn't all that much better than Dallas'.

Even if we score the D would have folded so I don't consider it the reason we lost. The Murray fumble was much bigger as that drive would have put the game out of reach had we come away with points

I think every play of a game is important. Yeah, Murray fumbled....but we had a chance to come back. That Dez catch.....oh boy. I still can't watch it.

But there was still a lot of time left in the game even if we had scored a TD on the next play....even if we went for a 2-pt conversion they would have only needed a FG to tie the game. I liked our chances at that point, but I wouldn't have bet the house on a win.
