Hey Jerry,fuel the jet.

I didn't check the numbers... it just seemed like they were out there the majority of the game. It was pretty apparent that the defense wore out in the 4th.

It's all about perception. Had you been watching that with the same critical eye reserved for the Cowboys and Roy Williams, there would be a billion threads on here about how our defense folds when we need it most.

Instead, it's "Gas up the Jet, Jerry!"

I hope Ryan is bringing about five or six of his players with him...

Hey why not......if people are going to dream might as well make a doozie. :lmao2:

I have to agree with you here.

Come on, if that were Zimmer, I'd be cursing like crazy. :D

As would nearly everyone on this board . . . .

Smart man.
Anyone who watched that game and blames the defense has no clue of what's going on.

And fly to Baltimore.
Rex Ryan wants to talk to you.

News reports out of Dallas are that the private jet left earlier this evening headed to Baltimore. Details at 11.

If we had a D that played half as good as the Ravens you wouldn't hear a peep out of me.

Jerry got half way there but then happened to look at the game logs for this year and realized that his less talented bunch held the Colts to even less points than the Ravens did.

At that point he had the jet promptly hook a right and he's fixing to land in Atlanta within the hour to ink Mike Zimmer to a 5 year deal as new HC.

Rick Gosselin had an excellent article today regarding our defense vs. the other 3-4 defenses in the league. As usual he makes the most sense.

I agree.

They have better players. How will Rex Ryan fix that? If he can make Spears better than dog crap, I'm all for "gassing up the jet." I don't blame him for his defense;s collapse. His players failed at the most important moment. The point is, had he been OUR coordinator, the blame for that late collapse would have been all over him. We'd have a stupid GROR club. Forget that his D held the Colts to 15 points. We held the super bowl champs to what? 14 last year? How much crap did our defense take for that late failure? Against the Giants last year? Against Seattle this year?

People see what they want to see.

I'm not bashing, I'm just curious. After reading several of your threads I'm confused to as who who blaim for our collapse. Is it the players, the coaches or both?

You don't seem to take a side. Do you think things are fine as it and just need a little tweeking?

Once again, just curious. You seem to be one of the few who are real layed back about the situation.

I'm clear about who I blame.

It's both, clearly. During the season, when we'd get in trouble, we'd go in the stupid cover 2 shell that we suck at. In addition, it's not like our pathetic front three did anything either. What's great about me is (a) I'm incredibly humble, and (b) I don't point my finger at ONE aspect that's failing, and think "If we can fix that, all ills will be cured!" and then thump my chest about that in thread after thread. I think our DEs need improved. I think our scheming for our ILBs in the base is dreadful. I think an alien inhabited Bradie James all year. Nothing is ever black and white, and it's NEVER one side or the other.
