Funny how much a week can shut people up! Just got done watching the AZ game again paying special attention to Rob. I must say that was the best game he has played in my opinion. What did you think of it? Anyway that will shutup the people from last week :)

Truly awesome performance he totally dominated Okeafor!

He was better than last week. I still think he's too unathletic to be an effective starting tackle though. I think the only way he makes it in the NFL is to get much stronger or to become incredibly savy in how to play the line.

he seems pleanty athletic to me, he is a little slow now but he is young, not strong enough yet, and still developing physically.

Have you watched the game??? Unathletic you have to be kidding me... He has nice footwork and dominated a LB the whole game. On several occasions he was back dominating other LB's at the 2nd level.

Is Flo fast? Guys that big don't have to be fast. They need quick feet and a good wingspan. Rob has all of the above.

yea why all the hate, he seems to have alot of upside, he has already dominated Strahan, and Kearse, he shows a nack for being able to handle the big name guys. I think he lost some concentration at times in the seatle game but other than that i think he has been playing well beyond his years.

Dominated Strahan? Didn't Strahan get two sacks?

I know he's a popular fella on this board, but come on guys, let's let a little reality shine through our homeristic eyes. Just be glad our 6th round pick is starting and doing a GOOD job.

Dominated Strahan? Yeah, 6 tackles and 2 sacks worth of domination. Strahan was in the backfield all day. Even Parcells has said he has more concern about Pettiti then he does about Tucker on the other side. Don't be suprised if Verba is signed to see Tucker shift to the right side and Pettiti shifted to the bench.

It's not hate, it's an honest opinion. Guys are kissing up to Petitti because his dad posts here. I'm not bashing the guy, I'm just giving my opinion on his play.

He was decent, but Torrin Tucker was much better.

And no, Pettiti isn't very athletic, and yes I watched the game, twice in fact.

already been discussed to death. strahan got 1 sack against Pettitti and the other sack was someone elses responsibility. Giving up 1 sack to strahan doesnt mean much to me considering he has the single season sack record, averaging more than 1 sack a game. Do some reading before you post.

Thank you. I agree that Tucker is a superior player. He has held the left side down admirably, especially considering that he faced two very good defensive ends in Grant Wistrom and Bertrand Berry. It sounds like Mick is indicating that Colombo is going to be brought in, but honestly I would prefer bringing in Verba and moving Tucker over to the right side.

How about getting busted for 7 tackles, two assisted tackles, and 2 sacks by Bryce Fisher? Bryce Fisher! How about consistently average play before that point? How about Parcells explicitly stating that he is more concerned about the right side then he is with Tucker on the left, eventhough Petitti consistently has a TE lining up next to him to at least bump the LDE off the line?

Damn dude, why don't you think about what your saying before jumping all over me for not recognizing that the board consensus was that Pettiti gave up one, and not two sacks to Strahan?

Pettiti hasn't dominated ANYONE so far. That's just ridiculous.

And he had plenty of help vs Kearse and Strahan, and Strahan still got 6 tackles and a sack on Petitti.

As of right now I want us to get a GOOD RT next year. If Petitti develops into that player, great. If not, then Petitti will be a good backup next year.

That's just wrong - Petitti got bashed after the Seattle game.

Folks may try to be a little more polite and thoughtful in their evaluations of Petitti -- out of respect for his dad who had shown extraordinary class and generosity to us. You are confusing thoughtful evaluation with 'kissing up' -- perhaps because the usual level of player evaluation here is so black and white - someone either sucks or they are the best. What you are seeing is fans actually thinking for a second about a player's performance when they talk about Petitti.

You're right, but they're trying to see something that isn't there.

Tucker gave up a sack and Rob shut down a LB so what does that do to the weight of your opinion? You and every other hater see what you want to see dismissing the progress being made by a rookie. This thread was meant to discuss Rob's performance with AZ not the other games. Rob dominated in the AZ game period.

It's obvious which posters bashed Rob last week. I smell crow sure you don't want a bite?

Tucker was facing arguably the best pass rusher in the NFC. Rob didn't "shut down" anyone. He had a good game (at least better than his previous game) but there was no shutting down happening.
