I think it’s silly they aren’t starting this weekend. IMO the season already takes too long as it is.

Every year it seems it takes too long for us to see the Cowboys start the first game of the regular season and too short for us when we do get into the post season.

I was getting all excited for the September 3rd start of the season, so I looked up to see what time the game is, but the schedule says it's starting on Sept 10th, not the 3rd. I thought we had played the last preseason game. Is there one more preseason game that I didn't know about?

Ha, used to be 6 preseason games at one point. Go back far enough and you would have the SB Champs playing the top College team. Anyone remember that?

That's what I thought. I'm all ready though. I've already paid my bucks to this dude named Guido who hangs out downtown in a trench coat for online access to all the games. He said in a raspy voice, "Oh, yees, I werk iz representative to NFL. You paya dees money, you keen stream all of ze games." I'm sure it's legit.

I'll just make chili this week with no football to watch. Maybe I'll go with lasagna next week when we have our game.

The league wants to push the Super Bowl deeper into February. This year it's on the 12th.

It seems weird to me watching the SB in February. Obviously it’s not a big deal but it just feels weird to have a SB around mid-season in basketball.

I just picked up a schedule from the store.. It is indeed September 10. You wouldn't want to watch a new team on a short practice week. They need two weeks to prepare.
