We know that 4th and Long winner Jesse Holley will be on the Cowboys' practice squad, assuming he clears waivers. He tweeted as much today.

Here are educated guesses on the guys who will join Holley on the eight-man practice squad:

QB Rudy Carpenter
S DeAngelo Smith
CB Mike Mickens
FB Julius Crosslin
TE Scott Chandler
WR Manny Johnson
DE Marcus Dixon

Naw... Let the tweety birds tweet, just as long as they follow the team's and the league's rules. My 2 cents.

With the exception of Rudy, the rest are ST players, and the way they have gone down with injuries, not a bad list.

JMO but this "tweeting" issue will only get worse.

Does that mean Jerry needs to shut it down before it gets out of hand? Probably.

Give me Travis Bright over Crosslin.
Me too. I'd take Asaph Schwapp over him too. Julius was not good at picking up blitzes.

Who cares if they tweet? Unless a player says, "hey, we just talked to Brandon Marshall, and we are going to trade for him" and can be seen as tampering, then who really cares? Oh no, Jesse Holley said he's going on the practice squad! We better suspend him! IT'S THE PRACTICE SQUAD! Would you be upset if he said, "I got cut" at 3:59pm EST on Saturday?

I love that you put Irvin's quote in your sig. Nice.

I have a feeling they tell all of these last cuts that we're going to take a look at them for the PS.

Exactly. Why would we keep Holley on the PS? He has zero upside.

This better not be only because of the stupid reality show... If it even happens, as you say.

Well, he did return a punt for a TD. That's hard to do for many even if it is preseason.

He may have some value as a special teamer. I doubt the Cowboys really care if he was the winner of a reality television show. The key is to find players who can help you win on the field now or in the future.

Tweeting is a slippery slope and it is something all teams need to monitor. I'm sure all teams have internet guidelines that tweeting will fall into.

The freak punt return was a bad play.

It is not a good idea to try and field a backwards bouncing punt with two defenders in close proximity.

And Jesse Holley didn't exactly distinguish himself covering on special teams.

But if they want Holleywood on the practice squad, so be it, he can't be any worse than Danny Amendola using up a spot for a year.

He wasn't, but he looked like a helluva weapon out of the backfield. Anderson sucked as a blocker in his first season as well, but he's never turned into a weapon with the ball in his hand.

Which is what most Rookie RB struggle with is Blitz pickup; so not surprising.

It if you ever listen to the coaches about Rookie RB their main concern is always about Blitz pickup with them. There is a reason most coaches use a Vet as their 3rd down back because they are better at picking up Blitzes.

Case in point - Adrian Peterson for the Vikings. Even though AP is one of the most electrifying NFL players, Chester Taylor comes in on 3rd down mainly for better pass protection.

He also seemed to bobble every ball thrown to him before securing it. This is not good, even though he made the catch. But they were never turned into long plays like they could have been if he caught it clean. Plus at some point, those against 1st teamers all game long, one will end up in an INT or fumble.

Maybe I am over reacting a bit to this but does it bother any one else that Jerry would use a PS position for a guy with no chance to ever contribute to the team, just to help Irvin's show and the marketing that comes along with it?
