I can’t help but to think that this turns into some headline-stealing publicity stunt on opening day of the season.

That would prove to me that the Joneses are more interested in attention than sound football decisions.

I'm firmly in the make him play it out and if his price goes up because of a great season and deep playoff run, so be it, camp.

However, if their plan all along was really to resign him, the timing of this is so mind blowingly stupid that it defies comprehension. If that was the plan, it should have been done prior to free agency when it was cheaper and you had the opportunity to spend towards improving the team around him.

I don't see Dak ever winning a ship regardless, but just from an operational standpoint, signing him now in this moment is beyond stupid.
