Love the ability. Too bad we may never see it again on the field for this team. It's almost like he doesn't understand that he's playing for his career, that his talent is going to trump everything. Eventually, there comes a point where that just isn't the case, and he's getting closer to that point.

There is no timetable for him to report as he has been excused to address ongoing personal issues, per sources.

There must be a reason that they excused him.

I agree that he is an idiot to some extent but if he was not cooperating with the team, they wouldn't excuse him from reporting on time.
 
One less player to keep up with.
Twas the night before training camp and all through the zone.
The news of Irving not reporting was met with a groan.

Equipment was hung in the lockers with care.
In hopes that David Irving soon would be there.

I beg to differ. Kawhi is a Top 5 NBA player at his position, regardless of any championship. David Irving is arguably a Top 5 NFL 3-Tech DT. Very similar in talent and abilities, including the same mental issues.

Or the team is simply protecting the player and trying to cover for him.

I bet they are none too happy with this situation.
 
I was one that came to his defensive. Not as a homer fan but as a person. I get that life isn't easy and we all have issues to address, so, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. With that said, this is getting ridiculous and I am over it now. What he does with his life is his choice but these players have to decide what they want in life. You either want to play football or you don't. If the passion isn't there then walk away but don't drag a team and others down with you.

I hope he can find his path in life.

I can remember Garrett at the podium saying that they expect player X to be here in regards to some similar issues in the past including Rolando McClain.

Cheap words aren't indicators of impeccable character as well...to the point, I know quite a few solid people who help others to overcome the problems that have developed around themselves. It's not always a lack of integrity, but the nature of the problem that has to be overcome...now beat your chest all one wishes. Better yet, come at me...I'll then ignore that completely. I said my full here.
 
People act like he was missed in last years first 4 weeks. He wasn’t some deciding factor between wins and losses. He’ll be back week 5 ready to go. Yawn
