Too little cap is bad. Too much cap is bad. Getting just about to the max isn't a bad thing, just gives you problems if you end up with too many injuries in the course of the year. After the Cushing deal I'm thinking the Lee deal isn't a bad one in any way.

Only extension needed at this point would be Bailey. I'd get him locked up long term now even though kickers are a dime a dozen, but he's the best kicker we've had since Boniol.

I think we learned that a consistently good kicker is not exactly a dime a dozen. Once Folk imploded, we went through some pretty bad times. Bailey is the best we've had since Good Folk. He was never the same after his hip injury (and possible mental problems that arose from our drafting Beuller that same off season), but when Folk was on early in his career, he was as money as Bailey has been.

I sure hope Dez doesn't do anything like hold out.

Doesn't strike me as the type to do so. Loves football too much and he knows the Cowboys stuck their neck out for him a few times and wants to repay them... he's said as much in a recent interview.

Not to mention, he was the first 1st rounder to get a deal done in 2010.
