How the hell does one survive that holy crap. I got rear ended on my motorcycle while at a complete stop and the impact of hitting the road flying off my stopped motorcycle wrecked my body for weeks. I couldn't imagine hitting the road at 50+mph from 15 feet in the air and sliding 4 car lanes across pavement.

If I were a betting man, I'd say this was a suicide attempt. This looks intentional to me for the following reasons:
1- he passes a cop car on the left shoulder of the highway at a very high rate of speed then continues into the grass
2- and he never hits the brakes, until he goes airborne. That's when you see the brake lights go on, which tells me that the car isn't broken or malfunctioning as he's passing the cop car.
