I won't be in agony. I'm not a JG hater. I like him as a coach and I did as a player, I just think we can do better.

That's an idiotic opinion if you believe Fisher is better than Garrett. You do realize that Fisher went 1-7 in his last eight games while Garrett went 5-3 during that same span. If you look at Fisher and his overall record with the Titans/Oilers franchise, he has had only 6 winning seasons out of 16. Out of the past 7 seasons he has only managed to finish above .500 twice. I don't see his W/L column as a ringing endorsement. I have often thought(IMO) that Bill Cowher was the most overrated head coach going, I stand corrected, that title belongs to Jeff Fisher.

So, you know without a doubt that Jerry has made up his mind that JG will be the next HC?

How do you really KNOW that; without a doubt?

Have you been living under a rock?? Didn't you hear him kinda, sorta, hint at the idea?? You have to fill in the blanks....alot of them, but yeah, he's already announced Garrett as HC. (not really)

lol seems like panther didnt read any threads on this forum or watch any football pregame shows yesterday if he still has skepticism about whether JG will be the man.

No, i watched them and heard the pundits. I'm just gonna hope that Jerry has NOT made up his mind yet and if he has not, I'm not gonna ACT like I really know what he is going to do.

He does say one thing and does the exact opposite, on occassion.

What's idiotic is your premise that you can even compare a coach with 8 games of headcoaching experience with one that has 16 seasons....regardless of his w/l record. Not to say Garrett won't be a great coach, but he might be a loser too.....WAAAAAYYYY too early to say. Your opinion is one thing, but to make that comparison is ********.

I mean are you saying a coach with 8 games of HC experience is BETTER that a guy who has been coaching in the NFL for over 16 years?

In retrospect, I could of used better wording. My intention was not to really compare Garrett to Fisher directly, but to illustrate that Fisher is not what he seems to be when you look at his overall numbers. Nonetheless, I stated what I did and will stick by my opinion, regardless of how idiotic or pre-mature it is.

I guess you can say that you read it here first, I think Garrett who has all of 8 games HC experience is a better coach for Dallas than Jeff Fisher and his 16 years of HC experience.

There are some playoff coaches who this is their 1st stint as HC. Nothing personal towards fisher but 16 season as a HC and yet so few winning season? Experiance is great but Fishers has not exactly walked all over the league with his experiance.

I've known it for weeks. The team will still do what it needs to do to keep the League off ice off their back, but the players, coaches, and front office are united in the direction needed to move forward, and that direction follows a red head from the Ivy League who stacks great days on each other and asks "how you doing guys?"

Point taken. Your opinion is not without company. I think Garrett will be a fine coach...I just don't think he has proven a thing yet with 8 games under his belt.

I don't understand the fascination with Fisher. His record isn't really all that great, plus his teams have a reputation for playing dirty. I really don't want to root for a mediocre Cowboys team made up of cheap shot artists.

I hear ya Hags.

I'd really like one of these Fisher clowns to explain what they see in him. :lmao:

I've had enough info about the Rooney rule to understand it. However, no matter how much you guys want JG to be the guy; it is NOT so until Jerry makes the annoucement. I feel that time is still on Jerry's side and he does not have to decide today. However, time is the enemy of JG position because the longer this lingers the more people, including JG, will wonder what Jerry is up to and thinking.

This IS NOT over until the announcement. Until then NONE of you guys know what Jerry will do. Please at least admit that!!

I think it's as simple as Jerry being Jerry. He's not going to come out right away and say JG's the Head Coach, even though I'm also pretty sure it's a done deal. He wants there to be some anticipation because that's how he does things. Everything with him is a big ordeal because it brings attention to the Cowboys and most importantly....HIM.

There is nothing wrong with that stance. I don't completely agree with it, but that is another story.

Dude, no one is a "Fisher clown". It's really about getting a good football man in here to turn this team over too. I would rather have a more experencied HC at the helm in what looks to be a partial rebuilding year. If your so behind JG as the head coach, would it not be nice to have a wonderful football mind (GM) helping him retool this team?

Now I KNOW you don't think Jerry is that wonderful football man who can put the RIGHT pieces in place here!!!!

He is NOT and HAS NOT been that man. Bottom line, I want Jerry to turn this team over to some real proven experienced football minds. No doubt, I think Jerry is a great owner but he SUCKS as a football GM. This fact is indisputable. :bang2:
