It clearly wasn't the best our team had to offer. I'm not sure we've seen the Cowboys "best" all year long. That said...

If we play remotely like we did today we will be out of the playoffs by halftime of the divisional game at HOME against ANY of the other teams in the NFC final 4. We wont' just lose, we will be thoroughly thrashed.

I do agree with your point. There were several opportunities which have been pointed out on this board which would have easily yield 14 points for us.

However, since we didn't "game plan", many of the plays we ran were very predictable. In the NFL, unless you are down right dominating like the 93 Cowboys (who by the way lost 4 games that yr), if your opponents knows your plays, it's pretty hard to be successful.

but what do they do in practice? drop passed, miss blocks and just release wr's in man to man coverage and say it's just practice? basic or not when a play is there to be made make it.

I think we may have held back on the playcalling on both sides of the ball.

But as far as execution... we were trying to execute and just didnt.

So effort-wise we didnt hold back. We were trying to score.

What? Who said we didn't game plan?

Did I miss something? Are you saying we played this like it was the first preseason game of the year?

I don't think we'll bring the same gameplan if we meet the Skins again. If we can get to Collins like we did today with vanilla defense, imagine what we'll do when we blitz him.

Do you honestly think we'll trot out the same gameplan if we meet them again? The offensive and defensive gameplans were very vanilla if you were paying attention, although I doubt you were.

they won't score as much on us, and our offense would score more than 6points and 1 yard rushing...... so i believe even if we played vanilla w/gurode, t-new, TO, Glenn in there, we won't be thrash

That wasn't the issue. Same game plan or NO game plan...Different things.

That is what I'm asking. btcutter said we didn't game plan. Who said we didn't game plan...just him or did someone in the Cowboys organization say it. Is it a fact or opinion?

What really matters is we played piss poor. Vanilla or no game plan at all, it still was horrible effert. Period!

Agreed.

On both sides of ball.

I wanna believe that Garrett has some plays that we have not seen yet.
Some real mismatching plays. It seems he went away from mismatching type playcalling.
