Holding on Cruz 70 yarder

Saw it when it happened. They called holding on an almost identical block on Hanna (if I remember correctly). Pretty inconsistent but oh well.

Yes. You're right. It was among several other blatant holds. At this point it is expected. My wife a Colts fan who hates to validate my complaints called that one out.

Both those long TD's to Cruz had blatant holds by the tackles, but we can not get one call on it.

Nope. Maybe next game the ref on the other side of the field will call it. Like the pi on Dez. Extremely frustrating.

this is not new, just watch harbaugh interact with the refs making sure he gets the calls and watch garrett passively standing on the sideline like a statue.

At the 4:18 ish mark, Ware gets held without a doubt.

The play at 1:08 is a hold every time in my book.

The other play at 3:27 not so much in my opinion.

bull. last year that was true. now that he doesn't call plays I saw Jason yelling at refs time and time again.

oh really? Show me! I would like this video proof of Jason Garrett standing on the sideline looking like a statue...Because when i saw the game, I saw Jason Garrett repeatedly going after the ref, and constantly barking at the refs at the missed calls he saw. But then again, i may be wrong, i might be misinterpreting Jason Garrett talking to officials as him standing on the sideline like a statue.

Dallas still has to cut down on the offensive penalties themselves, too many times they put themselves in holes with holdings/false starts. It was a little better than last year but if they plan on contending it needs to improve even more

Yeah they got away with one. There isn't much anyone can do about things like that. It's going to happen.

There were more than a few occassions when Ware was basically mugged and it wasn't called. That's just the breaks with football.

If I'm remembering correctly, somebody in the offseason had holding-call-per-rush statistics for each team for 2012, didn't they? I seem to recall the number of Dallas calls per rush being ridiculously low, considering Demarcus Ware was one of the rushers. Can anybody corroborate that?

Either way, yah, it's something you have to just live with. All you can do is what JG did this week, which is try to make a big deal about it when it happens, and then (hopefully) quietly bring it up the week after so the league is aware that it's something you're watching closely.

Holding and PI are probably the two biggest game altering calls and they seem to be completely discretionary.

Demarcus ware got the corner 2-3 times and was yanked down by the lt and not one flag was thrown.

He was getting hooked all night. He actually looked better on his bull rush then slapping the tackles hands away. It just makes it harder for the tackle to hold him as opposed to that low edge lean he does.

I can live with marginal calls but in rewatching the game, only one of our holding calls was blatant and that was on Smith behind the play and had no baring on the play. They had 5 or 6 blatant ones and only one was called.
