Considering Texas has changed out their entire Offense and Defense, changed almost all of it's coaching staff, played a season without a A QB settled for the first time since probably before the Major. I think that considering all the things Texas had to deal with this past season has turned out much better then it might have. 8-5 is looking much better then what it could have.

Next year, Texas will likely have a top 5 recruiting class again. More importantly, Gray will be matched with an already excellent backfield, the top WR class in the country even if Green-Beckham decides not to sign with Texas. If he does, it's just that much better. For the first time that I can remember, Texas has brought in Juco Players, two of the top JUCOs in the Country. Moore and more importantly, Donald Hawkins at OT to be matched with Estelle and Riser on the OL. Together with the current Texas OL, I think they have a lot of talent coming back next year. Texas only has two Sr OLs and only one of those starts.

Defensively, we have more guys leaving. We have Randall, Ocho, Robinson, Gideon and Scott are all Seniors so they will need to be replaced but we do have Malcom Brown (Highly Rated DT) and Brandon Moore, the other JC who is a huge guy at 6'7" 335 lbs. and will likely be able to step in and play immediately.

We need our QB situation to get settled one way or the other. Either Ash, who like many of you, I was not impressed with or Case. If not one of them, then Brewer is coming in next year and so is Overstreet.

Texas only has 5 Seniors on this years team that start. 1 on offense and 4 on defense. That's 17 returning starts. Texas is very young and they will get better with every game. I'm very optimistic about this Texas Football Team. I think they will be challenging for a National Championship in the very near future.
