Looked to me like he was reaching because he was getting tackled which is why his arm went up. We're both guessing so I'm not trying to get in a peeing contest with you, just telling you how I remember it. I have not seen the replay yet.

I recorded almost every show from espn, espn 2, and nfl network, so ive seen the play a few times, and every time i see it, it appears to me as if he is putting the ball up in a celebratory fashion.

Foolish as in being careless with the ball in an important situation. He misjudged the distance between himself and the end zone when he attempted to leap. Getting tackled at the exact same time didn't help.

It was a good play, and I'm not bothered that he was run down, he couldn't have dived in. What annoyed me was how he was acting on the sidelines before we even kicked the FG. He was throwing his hands in the air, acting like he had just won the Super Bowl. It was a great play, but the game hadn't been won yet. It reminds me of when Shockey was with the Giants, and he was pointing at the camera celebrating, and their kicker missed the FG.

I will tell you something...when I saw him going to the endzone and how he was holding the ball...it scared the hell out of me!





But, he made it and did not fumble...and for me, that just helped him to realize that he can play this game. I'm sure the coaches saw what we saw and will correct that.

But that was not "4th and Long".

It was "1st and Long"...and he made it happen

The ball was in the hand closest to the sideline, so if he DID fumble, chances are it goes out of bounds. We'd still have the ball.

The guy who never gets a catch in the NFL, finally gets a few passes & one that puts the Cowboys in a good spot to win the game, thanking the good lord ( & Romo ) for giving him this opportunity & you got annoyed by it? If this was Mile Austin doing it, you'd have a point but in this case, it's beyond silly.

If he drops that ball, it likely goes out of bounds but it would have very likely gone across the end line and out the side of the endzone. SF gets the ball on the 20 and we're talking about one of the biggest blunders in recent memory.
