If he drops that ball, it likely goes out of bounds but it would have very likely gone across the end line and out the side of the endzone. SF gets the ball on the 20 and we're talking about one of the biggest blunders in recent memory.

Just beat me to it! That was my thought as I saw him reaching for the endzone........I screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! He nearly blew it and almost blew the moment for me. I was more scared ****less over what I thought was going to happen than I was happy over what was sure to be the game sealing play.

Holley celebrated last night. So did the rest of the Cowboy team. I hope they are home getting treated at Valley Ranch today. Then they can have Tuesday off.

Holley needs to do what it takes to get into the endzone, rather than show boating before getting there. What happens if he fumbles or we miss the field goal? We all wouldn't be so jolly because of holley.....

I think he was reaching for the goal line, but he needs to put two hands on the ball and dive.

Soooo, is this thread saying the team should adjust their wins and losses according to the spread. I mean... I live in Vegas this could be a boon for me I can get to any casino I want to play Dallas each week according to the point spread and the fact that the players are required to play to beat it, or not.

I don't think Holley was showboating, I saw another picture of him at a different angle and i believe he was about to leap to get across the goalline but the defender snatched him before he could. In the picture the ball is outreached but he never got liftoff.

Don't take the spread quote seriously though, just busting your chops bro.

I agree, but he had the ball in only one hand. If he had hit the ground hard enough the ball would have come out and he would be a goat, not a hero, just as Romo was last week. He needs to protect the ball at all costs.

On the Fan today, they spoke with Holley. Said he was looking at the video screen and didn’t know the guy behind him was so close so he let up a little.

Well before that, he was holding the ball well away from his body. You know that he was just oozing adrenaline at that point and could probably barely contain himself, but I wish he'd hold it high and tight next time he gets the chance

Yeah, he definitely 'raised the ball' to get his PRIME TIME moment of fame due to his incredible 'excitement' that he was actually going to score a TD and WIN THE GAME (and be the HERO). Unfortunately, he ALMOST had a moment or "ENCOUNTER of the 4TH KIND" (i.e. CUT BY JERRAH) if that 49ER Safety would have strip the ball and caused a fumble or turnover in THEIR favor. I'm sure JG brought it UP in the film review on Monday. Save IT for the ENDZONE and never take a TD for granted ala Sean Jackson!!! But....hey, I forgive him since we WON the dang game!!!
