Sheesh, how bout we take a look at the discipline and the effort of the club this year before we start looking for a new coach.

What happens when neither shany nor holmgren nor cowher can win here? There were problems last year, its too early to tell if the cancer has been cut out.

A thread like this is what I hate about Cowboys fans!

Wades track record as a HC speaks for it self, the cancer is still very much here thought it gets less attention now that we managed to deflect a lot of the blame on TO :laugh2:

I dont think Holmgren would want to come to dallas. Not with Jerry calling all the shots and the players not respecting the coach.

Shanny on the other hand commands respect. He might be able to pull it off. He's a tough guy and doesnt take crap from nobody.

Then why draft him in the 3rd round. He got rid of him because he couldn't play.
He was like a 1st round grade if I'm not mistaken, but he fell so far because of his off-field issues. His performance in the NFL isn't really what I was referring to.

I'm not advocating hiring Holmgren but I found this interesting and counter to your view.

Holmgren's commitment to his wife, Kathy, is that he would take some time off after the season. Will that be a couple of weeks instead of a year as planned? "What if Jerry Jones comes a calling? In fact, Seahawks sources agree that one destination for Holmgren that should not be ignored is Dallas, because he and Jones have developed a very close relationship over the years. The pairing would not be anywhere as odd as, say, Bill Parcells and Jones."

Don't count out Bill Cowher as a potential hire here in Dallas.

.

Cowher is a better fit with the personnel we already have and he's probably ready to get back to coaching anyway.

If Shanahan can bring his son on board, I'd like him to be the next coach. If not, I'd like to give Garrett a shot.

I think Holmgren is looking forward to retirement and cushy position Sunday mornings on one of the major networks.

....but yeah, as some of have mentioned, let's see what Wade can do this year and try not to look too far ahead into the future.
