Aikman was booed in his own stadium. People were calling for Randal Cunningham. So yes, Troy had to take it his whole career as well.

Yeah but people were calling for Troy because they thought he wasn't physically capable anymore.

He shortly retired after the boo birds started too.

If the Pats were trotting out a physically unable Brady im sure he would be boo'd too.

Absolutely. I, and every other "realist", would be overjoyed had we finished strong and were 4-0 right now like we should be. I'd be eating crow and talking playoffs/Superbowl.

Yep..

I thought we would be an average team this year but not for the reasons we are average.

None of that changes the fact which was clarified.

Exactly, and this is way more frustrating. I thought we would be average because of talent, or a lack thereof. Turns out, we are average because we don't have the fortitude to be anything more.

Why folks hafta always run to the "I'll eat crow because..." explanation is really fascinating. CAW! CAW! :laugh1:

Good or bad, people should just be content with what they believe. It won't make any difference whatsoever if circumstances eventually change to the contrary.

If the Cowboys never win another Super Bowl, some will think they were always right in saying so. If the Cowboys do eventually win another Super Bowl, some will be wrong. Testifying over a plate of corvidae will not erase any of the previously incorrect proclamations which were stated otherwise.

CAW! CAW! :laugh2:

Nothing wrong with admitting when you were wrong about something

If you say so. I just do not see the necessity of going beyond a short and sweet "I was wrong" statement. Instead, it's, "I'm going eat crow because I was wrong and this is why I thought blah, etc."

If people know you were wrong, they will let you know. Happens all the time.

This was the story I was recollecting before for anyone who's interested. It was written in November of '97. At this point, it wasn't even two full seasons past Aikman's *third* ring and they were still in the playoff hunt, lol.

(It's scary that I remembered a Michael Irvin quote from 14 years ago, but if I were back in school and taking a test...nevermind).

Drew Pearson is pretty annoying these days.

Yes he is. I think he's got the syndrome, where he believes whatever he says, people will agree and believe.

right now, I would rather hear Patrick Crayton's mouth run.

Great player, way over due for ROH...belongs in HOF.....but he as well as 99.45% of the rest of the media should just shut up and move on. Let it play out and see what happens.

Is it so hard to say he is stupid and insensitive? because he is.
Now that he is on his way to the ring there will be no living with him.
Next you know he will be wearing a gradiating cap thinking he is smart and stuff.
