Such a sad day today. I'm still in shock. ST was a great football player. We always took jabs at him with the ES members, but deep down, we ALL had tremendous respect for the guys game. He played hard, he played with passion. He was the face of that franchise in my eyes.

Roy Williams and ST were always spoken in the same breath. They were linked because both were hard hitting safeties and both played on opposite sides of a great rivalry.

I'd like to see the Cowboys honor ST this thursday night. I don't know how, but I'd like to see something.

I'd really like to see RW do something. RW and ST were freinds. Maybe instead of wearing #31, he could wear #21 for the game.

In the end, it really doesn't mean anything, but I think it would be a nice gesture. Skins fans are in mourning right now, and rightly so. I think this would be a nice way of saying, "We're thinking of you"..........

I agree 100%, I would like to see some kind of nice gesture from the Cowboys and/or Roy Williams...I'd love to see him wearing #21 in honor of Sean.

I'm positive that the Cowboys will honor him before the game, and will most likely have a #21 decal on their jerseys/helmets.

I'd be surprised if the NFL didn't have a moment of silence before each game for him.

Definitly. The NFL is an elite club. They lost a member, and I am sure they will recognize it.

ST also used to wear some funky socks, and he liked to tape his facemask up a little.

I think if Roy did both of those things, it would be pretty damn cool.

Find the thread titled... Today we are all Commander Fans

It is a nice thread started by one of our own.

If you wish to pass on some nice words about Sean or just sentiments please feel free to do so.

I normally never encourage going to another board, but in this case I think it is a nice gesture.

Please remember to keep your manners about you and do not say anything to start trouble.

Best wishes and positive energy to the Taylor family and his friends. Sad to see you your life shortened by some idiot with a gun.

Hope you don't mind I'm wearing your Sig for a few days

I'm not sure what will be done, but I would think friend and foe alike would honor him.

Sorry. Changed it up some but I think they are getting over loaded as it works one second and down a bit later.

They'll almost certainly have a moment of silence before the game.

I'm sure that'll be the most that most teams will do to honor "The Tarantula" (the nickname Doc Walker gave Taylor). I cannot see any teams other than Washington putting decals on their jerseys and/or helmets. He was a hell of a player and the NFL will miss him and his highlight-reel hits. My prayers go out to his family...especially his daughter-it's terrible to leave a child so young behind.
:suxskins: but their players are respected and, in the end, the NFL is a family (among players and fans) and we all mourn this loss. God Bless...

That hit he laid on the punter in the Pro Bowl will linger on my mind for quite some time.

Man what a terrible, terrible situation. I can't stop thinking that this man has a young child that probably won't ever remember her father. Shot in his own home....wow... it's truly a sad sad day. Rest in Peace ST and god bless your family.
