Honoring Sean Taylor...

Please don't

We all know his past ...... most of us probably suspect something in his past brought this on.

But today is not the day to point out the mistakes this very young man made in his life.

He was brutally murdered in his own home a few feet from his Newborn.

He was a very young, very special athlete who had a very hard life.

We are "celebrating" what he brought to his fans on the football field and how much he added to the great rivalry we have had with the Commanders.

Sean Taylor will be missed by anyone who likes smash mouth football .... and his death at such a young age will be mourned by anyone who has ever lost a loved one.

If you cannot be respectful ..... please just stay quiet.

Please God watch over the spirit of Sean Taylor and his family.

:shake:great post!!

Signs of rememberence aren't about the man off the field, it is about the man on the field and the people he left behind.

On behalf of all Commanders fans, I wanted to say thanks to cowboyszone for putting up burgandy as your background today in honor of Sean.

Roger Goodell's statement

The entire NFL is deeply saddened by the death of Sean Taylor. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to Sean's family, friends, teammates, and the Commanders' organization. This is a terrible tragedy involving the loss of a young man who leaves behind many people struggling to understand it. Our office is staying in close contact with the Commanders to provide all appropriate support to the club and Sean's family. We also are working to determine the facts surrounding this tragic event. We will honor the memory of Sean Taylor at all games this weekend.

Anyone got that clip of the blocked FG from last year where Sean Taylor recovered and set them up for the FG for the win?

Should post it here. Homage....

For those that may want to say this or that about Sean Taylor in a negative way.

Show some class and just leave it.

Down the road maybe we will learn some more information but for the time being how about showing some class and just keep the negative comments to yourself.

I want to repost this post by Zrinkill.

Can't get to the site --but for all the Commanders- sorry for your lose. ST was a hardhitting football player. God Bless and our prayers go out to his family

I couldn't agree more. Good thought.

And for the mod who changed the color of the site, outstanding job. Hats off to you. Great idea.

I still can't get over this loss. He will be missed.

like I always said.. I hated him when he pounded us.. admired his play with bonecrushing hits all the time.. even from the U .. just a shocker.. he was just 24.. heck im 30.. just a sad day for the taylor family and NFL fan base.

I would imagine all teams will honor Sean in some way this weekend at least.

What a tragedy.
