This is perfect timing for another offensive weapon to be out there.

The Bucs have a great defense.
How often has that worked?

They once tried Dorsett and Walker together but I don't remember them having much success with it.

They are both decent receivers which would make it a flexible package.

A lot of teams like their 1st and 2nd string tailbacks.

But they almost never play them both at the same time.

What advantage does it really give you? Are you going to run the ball and use one of them as a lead blocker? If not your just playing 10 vs 11. And if so...well...you've got fullbacks on the roster to do that.

Damn straight they are both good receivers...and damn good at picking up blitzes as well.

It's time to open up the damn play calling.

Play action to Zeke and pass out to the flat to run dmc.

Do something to these damn blitzing defenses...make them pay like in Pitt on that beautiful executed Zeke 83 yard scamper.

I was going to post something horrible. But I won't. I stopped myself. This time.

Dude. The two back set has seen its day. Its more about spreading the defense out now because the speed of the game has increased so dramatically over time. Another back just eats up a spot for another TE, slot guy, or WR that you need to spread out the D. That's why losing Swaim and trying to replace him with that pig Escobar hurt us so badly.

Anyway. Without going on and on.

Sorry. Not happening. Nice thought, however. ;)

I'm not talking the entire game...certain packages

Not impressed with Dunbar, and Morris hasn't done anything since September, so I like having fresh legs to compliment Zeke. Let's test their run defense then hit 'em with play action over the top.

I would imagine the admins would have something to say about that.

Sorry my post upset you that bad. I can assure you that when i typed it i was nervously wondering if it would offend willia451.

I'll try to do better in the future..

You just answered your own question. RunDmc is a good blocker.

I get that. I'm just not sure what scenario you would use them in. I think you could maybe make a decent argument for passing downs. Have two guys who can catch out of the backfield, and pick up blocks. We tend to go with empty sets on passing downs a lot though so Dak has easier reads.

I'm just tired of defenses who blitz not having to worry about anyone but Zeke and keying on him and stuffing him...
Fake the damn ball to Zeke and throw to DMC.

Line Run D in the slot...whatever it takes to add a wrinkle to opposing defenses.

I'm tired of Zeke coming off the field on 3rd down. McFadden just gives them another excuse to pull him, I fear.

Not a bad idea, 2 backs who can block and also go out and catch the ball. Gives us better protection and they can also roll out for a screen. Not bad at all

Agreed.

The thing is..

with Zeke as the cowbell..

Morris has receded into the background.

So has Dunbar.

Morris is not a good pass catcher and is very one dimensionsl.

Dunbar can only run straight ahead because of his injuries and goes down when touched and tips the play.

DMac can run..catch and expands his value.

Glad he's ready.
