Hopeful to have some Shaq Leonard news after the game tomorrow

If he was signing in Dallas he would do the honourable thing and announced it before the Iggles kickoff..ie, he will sign with them tomorrow or after their game lol
 
Per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the Dallas Cowboys are considered the best fit for Leonard because of his ability to fill the role that has been open since Leighton Vander Esch suffered a season-ending neck injury. Fowler noted the Philadelphia Eagles are also in the mix for Leonard, who “will likely” decide between the two NFC East rivals at some point this weekend.

Leonard was waived by the Indianapolis Colts on Nov. 21 after his role on their defense had decreased this season. He became a free agent the following day when no team claimed him on waivers. The Eagles and Cowboys were immediately identified as teams that would have interest in the three-time Pro Bowler.

Middle linebacker is one of the few areas where the Eagles have been vulnerable this season. They are also going to be without Zach Cunningham due to a hamstring injury for Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers. Christian Elliss replaced Cunningham in the second half of Philadelphia’s 37-34 overtime victory over the Buffalo Bills.

Per Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer, Cunningham could miss more time beyond this week with a strained hamstring. Vander Esch hasn’t played since Week 5 against the 49ers when he injured his surgically-repaired neck. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said on Nov. 14 that Vander Esch will miss the rest of the season. Dallas can use Micah Parsons as an off-ball linebacker, but he’s clearly much more valuable wrecking games as an edge-rusher. Leonard was one of the best linebackers in the NFL for the first four years of his career. He was named to the All-Pro team every season from 2018 to ‘21, including three first-team selections.

Bottom line. Is Clark is a JAG. I’m not seeing anything remarkable about his play. Out of position a lot and slow to react. Our LB play needs some help.

Does he drive up his price based who he thinks is more desperate. Can this show he is only about a contract over winning.

I am not saying I don't want him here, as I would like they take a chance, only if they plan to actually use him, if healthy.
Then you need to look at the long term roster effect. Who do you cut, and take the chance on losing, if you can't get him to the PS.
As this is the time of year the bottom teams will be posting players to build for next year. It is like an extra drafted player or 2.

It could be he just wants to be patient and feel good about his choice. Watching both defenses play a game and imagining play by play how you might be used and what opportunities you might get to play and make a difference is pretty normal decision.

How on earth is that the “honorable” thing?

These weird rules people put on others makes no sense.

The Dallas Cowboys' flirtation with Shaq Leonard during a brief free agency tour that also saw him visit the Philadelphia Eagles is a serious one.
And, according to one plugged-in NFL guy, maybe a winning one.

He used Dallas as Leverage. He will sign with the Eagles! They are clearly better.

Was meant to make his decision to come here which would be a distraction for their game....guess it wouldn't have mattered now lol
