I know your respected here, and has a very good knowledge of the game.

Not to metion you expect greatness from this team and QB:D

Who do you think the Cowboys should go after? Who would bring this team to greatness?

appreciate it

In a perfect world I'd take Cowher. However I don't see that as a possibility any more. I really felt Parcells would stick for one more year and it might happen. Not now. We will not compensate Pittsburgh for the right to hire him, nor any other team their HC.

The only HC I would give up picks for would be Andy Reid and he isn't going to reunite with Owens.

I think those speculating Norv or Wade are probably right, and in truth I hate the idea. People will bring up Belichick's failed time in Cleveland as evidence they might be a good hire. I just don't see it.

At this point I think it makes a lot more sense to go after Mike Singletary, Ron Rivera, Russ Grimm or a college Head Coach like Urban Meyer. I really think we need some youth. I want somebody who is hungry to prove something to the world.

This team is very talented. Bill did a great job asembling a roster. He just did a lousy job coaching that talent IMO. I mean really lousy. I'm not at all impressed.

Whoever takes over this team they have to be very charismatic. The spotlight burns too bright here not to have that. That is why Gailey and Campo are so detested. People will say Landry wasn't, but he was a genius who was larger than life. There isn't a Landry anywhere in the NFL any more.

I wish it was a perfect world, but it isn't. I'm pretty much resigned to Wade Phillips.

I seriously doubt Meyer will be considered, but he is ripe for the picking as he has nothing else to prove on the college level...

I doubt it too, but he's exactly the kind of fireball football guy I'd like.

Ima FSU fan but i respect what he has done in the college level.

One question tho about Meyer. Would you want his offense, or would you want to bring in a OC or keep Sparano?

Meyers is a pretty ambitious guy. I would not expect him to come away from Florida so quickly but it would not shock me in the slightest if he did. I think he's a college coach who definatly wants to eventually be in the NFL.

I would love if it Meyer came here, but it's extremely doubtful.

I never liked Sparano. In truth I sort of want us to go after Jason Garrett, Troy's former backup and the QB coach for the Phins, as the OC. I always liked him and kind of secretly hope he will one day be our HC. Andy Reid bypassed OC from QB coach to HC, but I think his success with Favre overshadows Garrett by a mile. I just think Garrett has a great football mind. Always did.

I agree, it is. I just think he is the perfect solution. Which means it isn't ever going to happen.
