Im about to go cut my hair and beard fade. Then im gonna jog a mile, (that's all, I hate running.) then go to the gym and lift. That part will be enjoyable and I'll wear my lucky Cowboys knee high socks. I get compliments on the socks every single time. Lol. Then I'm heading home and ill be making stuffed mushrooms. I have to mount my daughter TV and a mirror today at some point. AND I need to do some dading and make sure she's kept up on her school work. After the game I'm supposed to take the wife out to eat. Then I pass out with a victorious full belly and a tired body, only to take up at 4am for a 24 hour shift.

Basically the quality of my day hinges on a victory. Don't screw me Cowboys.

I used to get nervous and antsy on game day. For some reason it stopped a few years ago. I still wear my jersey and drink from the same glass.

Sunday mornings are usually the same ritual.

1.Start with trying to control a partially obstructed stream from the Saturday nights activities.
2. Plop Plop fizz fizz and a Bloody Mary to relieve hangover
3. Greasy rich breakfast to offset an empty stomach
4. Wait all day to see a meaningful game because we can’t get a damn 1 o’clock game for love or money!

I run 3 miles with a Sony Walkman playing Survivor at face melt volume. Oh...wait.....that was 30 years ago. I can hardly walk at all now.
Today I had an HEB grocery delivery and got that all stuffed in the fridge. Now to fly somewhere on MSFS and wait for the early games. Might buzz a few stajums and drop flour bags on the fields. :muttley: Got copious amounts of New Zealand Dancing Sands gin for martinis so all set to get smashed.

What kind of things do you do to keep yourself occupied before the game? Do you go through any gameday rituals, things you normally do on game day? Are you antsy, nervous, overly excited?

This is going to be fun to know how you contain yourself/what you do before the games, have at it!!!!!
I go through my Heimlich manual since a choking might ensue at any time.

My GameDay routine starts early - around 5 am with a cup of earl Grey tea. And, depending on the weather, I sit on the balcony with backup cat #2 awaiting sunrise and contemplating what to make for lunch.

A bit later in the season, I am usually out snowplowing before lunch and catching up on pod casts

Those are definetly the slowest hours of the entire week for me, I try and sleep in but that means just past 4 am for me.
I am what most would consider to be a young elderly man, I have been around long enough to have seen greatness, near perfection, SBs. what more could I ask for.
Another one this year, thats what, this team has every chance to grab another ring this season, this season is just starting.
We blast NE today, it really starts now my friends!

I don’t get antsy, nervous or overly excited for games anymore. I used to get butterflies in my stomach before every Cowboys game back in the 70s and 90s when they had great teams. Heck, my butterflies used to get butterflies for big regular season games and the playoffs. I still get excited about watching the Cowboys but it’s not like it was when they had great teams and had a real shot to go to the Super Bowl every year. Like a lot of fans I’ve lost faith in the organization. The disappointments year after year have tempered my enthusiasm. I don’t have any pregame rituals and never did. If the Cowboys are playing the late game, I watch the early games like I’ve always done.

Thought I was going blind but just needed to shave my eyebrows. Did some beer hand stretching and ready for the game
