Then you still have Austin. I don't think Dallas is looking at RB to find a return man. I think part of Pacman being here is his ability as a top return man as well as a CB

Since that one return vs Seattle Austin has done nothing.

Why are you saying this to me? I defended Jones. He said "Stewart is faster" and I gave him evidence that he isn't.

I think he's just saying that straight-line speed without defensive players trying to tackle you and rip the ball away mean little. His point is it doesn't matter how fast you can run a 40. What matters is that burst you have to get thrugh the hole, the ability to stop and kick it into 5th gear with your next step, the ability to switch direction on a dime...
is that about right david?

That doesn't explain why I'm getting chewed out for it, when I took the same side as he did.

again ----- 0.o

I'd rather have Felix than Stewart, I was just pointing out one false statement somebody made.....sheesh.

So who do you choose between Stewart and F Jones?

I still take Stewart but I'm much more receptive to Felix than I used to be. I have said repeatedly that I don't want a complimentary back but a starter quality back who will share touches with Marion. A RB who is interchangeable with Marion. What is wrong to have two starters sharing touches?

I have read so much and heard so much about Felix than I'm beginning to believe than he can be that player but I still prefer Stewart.

True but I don't think Dallas is looking at a RB because of his return ability. If Dallas gets Stewart it will be because they think he is the better RB. I doubt many teams sit around questioning who are #2 return man is going to be.

Stewart ran a 4.48 at the combine, Jones ran a 4.47......

That just goes to show you that 40 times aren't everything because Felix has Reggie Bush speed on the field.

Blah, blah, blah. Get over it. You can't get chewed out on faceless conversations.

I agree that we wouldn't take a rb for that, unless it was a later round, but it would be nice to have a second or third option.

If it makes you feel better F. Jones averaging 28.21 yards on 62 kickoff returns for 1,749 yards and four touchdowns.

Felix is an absolutely SPECIAL kickoff returner. He was all american as a freshman and only got better. He's a real threat to score on every return.

Which Pacman on punts and Felix on kickoffs, our special teams would be feared like the Bears and Devin Hester.

I don't see where Stewart is that good or will be that good in the NFL... He reminds me too much of Shaun Alexander, doesn't run through tackles.

What we need is a complmentary back who also provides the ability to be the main RB. I think Dallas ideally wants to give Barber about 15-20 carries a game and also give which ever RB they pick the other 10-15 carries a game.

If Marion Barber went down, I think Felix Jones could definately be our #1 RB. We would probably play more like we did at times last year where we used the pass to setup the run, and limit the running plays to about 20 run plays a game with Felix Jones get about 15 carries and who ever the 3rd RB is getting about 5 to 8 carries as well.

Mosely's on 103 and he said originally it seemed like the Cowboys were leaning to Jones over Stewart but since he's gone to NY that now he's hearing that they like Stewart more and think he is a faster Steven Jackson. But Mosely doesn't see Stewart being available at #22 anyway.

Again....Why? Is Austin a crappy returner or something? Detroit had NO ANSWER for him.

I love Austin...but whether Detroit had an answer for him (what was the question?) is not eactly a ringing endorsement.

"Stewart ran a 4.48 at the combine, Jones ran a 4.47......"

Jones must be the fastest 4.47 I have seen. He definitely plays faster than that.
