I’m a Texas Tech season ticket holder for several years. I have seen Donovan Smith play many times. He’s a great kid from a great family. His dad is a college coach.

DS is a great athlete with a good arm, great size and toughness. But he is not an NFL players IMO. He would be a long, long, long shot as a QB. He may be a good enough athlete to play TE or WR. Really love the kid’s heart but he is not in my estimation, an NFL QB.

I guess this blows my theory about the Jones not putting stock in the most important position on the field since Aikman retired.

Wow, I actually mentioned this guy as a dart throw prior to the draft. My thinking was he's got the arm, mobility. He reminded me of Daniels. Its nice to guess right sometimes lol. Glad we are kicking the tires. You never know.

Hes one of my pet cats leading up to the draft. I thought he was not getting nearly enough mention. I think he just needs the coaching and reps with better supporting cast. Glad we are taking a look at him. I liked him better than many of the QBs taken in the draft.

Probably for camp body they always bring in qbs, then release them before PS.
