If Ramsey is there at 4 I would take him. If he is gone I would take Jack. I think these are the two elite athletes in this draft and I think at least one of them will be available.
BUT
I would still like to pick up some extra picks.
I am leaning towards DE in the 2nd and have been looking at them. Nassib intrigues me quite a bit. I know some think he was a one year overachiever and maybe they are right but if the team looks at him and decides he is their guy and he isn't a one year wonder but a guy that just blossomed into a great player. He lead NCAA in sacks last year by a pretty good margin with 16. Pick 34 is a little high for nassib so here is a potential trade back opportunity.
Pick 34 traded to Cincy for picks 55, 87 and 122. This would allow us to pick up an extra 3rd and an extra 4th.
We would then have picks 4, 55, 67, 87, 101, 122, 135, 189, 212, 216 and 217.
4. Ramsey CB (the best athlete in the draft)
55. Nassib DE (NCAA sack leader)
67. Karl Joseph SS (hits like a linebacker and covers like a corner)
87. Tyler Matakevich ILB (Mcclains replacement when he leaves next year)
101. Paul Perkins RB (Mcfaddens replacement down the road and instant contributor)
122. Sheldon Day DT ( part of the dline rotation)
135. Ronald Blair DE (another DE with sack skills for the rotation)
189. Geronimo Allison WR (streets replacement)
212. Kevin Hogan QB (a developmental QB with intelligence and leadership skills)
216. Kelvarea Russell CB (could be a starting CB one day)
217. Austin Blythe C (backup C is the only thing lacking on our O line.)
This way you still get the elite prospect at 4 and add a couple of 3rd and 4th round picks after trading down to take Nassib.
